How To Stop the Voices from Your Head?

I was waiting in line for the metro from Dasarahalli when the announcement was made 2 mins before the arrival of the metro.
As I was standing, I began to hear the hissing sound from the tracks. I became curious about how this sound is coming when the metro is almost 1 km away from the station?
When sound travels through different materials, its speed varies.
In iron or steel, which are much denser than air, sound travels at a much higher speed. In fact, in steel, sound can travel at a speed of around 5000 meters per second (about 18,000 kilometers per hour).
This means that sound travels roughly 15 times faster in steel compared to air.
This is why, when the train is far away, the sound travelling through the air might not be as noticeable or might not reach you at all until the train is closer.

Most of the times, you ignore what is happening around you. You just want to be engaged in activities such that it numbs your feelings.
I want you to pause for a while see what is happening around you. I know the moment you pause your mind will start playing tricks to keep you engaged or make to you to follow that "pattern of activities" which you have doing since years.

Even if you are just scrolling through your phone, your mind generates so much noise which makes you feel anxious.
You might have tried to get rid of this negative voice in your head, but it might have backfired you. It's like don't think of an apple, your mind has already generated an image of a red juicy apple. As each habit or belief has a root cause you also need to find the root cause.
Like how Tyler Durden says in the fight club, "Our great war's a spiritual war... our great depression is our lives."
Even I was like you, my mind produced so much garbage voices which made me lazy and unmotivated to do anything. After I discovered this technique from a YouTube video. I started to overcome this, and I am still on the process to clear my mind.
What might be this technique?
I want you to remain silent and ask a question to yourself, "What am I talking about myself?". Wait for the answer patiently.
You will notice that your mind will be blank, and you will not get any answers. This is the first step to come out from your voices of your mind. Next, you need to know the truth which is "You are not your mind".
If you can control the voices in your head, you are not your mind. You are something more. It's your journey to discover about yourself.
Keep practicing this technique and remain silent at most of the times. You will start to observe things in a different way.
