How To Stop Being Lazy | Top 4 Successful Tips
Ever wonder how you become lazy? It is a state where you are not willing to spend energy to do any task, work or job that you perceive to be uncomfortable or difficult. Some people think it is fun to laze around watching tv, get out of the bed to grab food and continue surfing Netflix; just refuse to allow the mind to be energetic and do something productive.
However, if you think about it again, it is all in the mind-set. You decide that you want to be lazy; hence you say to yourself ‘I’m Lazy’. You train your mind and brain to think more on the laziness factor instead of focusing on what you can do to avoid being lazy. The Law of Attraction works in a way that if you are saying it out to the universe that you’re lazy, you are high likely going to attract lazy vibes all over you.
You need to shift your mind-set, take the courage and have a strong determination to alter and modify the word ‘lazy’ to ‘productive’.
Here’s 5 tips on How to Stop Being Lazy!!
1. Stay 100% Focus on Your Big Why
Everyone needs to know what their purpose in life is. You need to be 100% sure on what your Big Why is and what is the main focus or target in your life to achieve the Big Why. This is to ensure that you have a direction in your life and you are not going around like a headless chicken. By knowing the purpose and direction of your goals, you will be more clear and precise in your daily habits. It gives you a strong motivation and ultimate reason not to be lazy. Your Big Why can be a life purpose, a goal or a vision that you’re passionate about.
Always ask yourself what you want to do, what are you good at, what are the benefits you can share to the people around you, how can you monetize your passion or interests to get closer to your goals, what is the main important goal or dreams that you desire, how long are you going to take to get to your goals, how much of effort are you going to put in to achieve your dreams. Take your time and make sure you have the answers for the entire question, depending on your situation. When you are being honest with yourselves, you will discover more sincere answers, and you will finally come to a realisation the purpose of your life and the importance of having Big Wh.
Ask and challenge yourself, challenge your limits and tell yourself that you are not going to stop until you get to where you want. And in order for you to do so, you got to stop being lazy and be 100% focus on your big why.
These are some tips that I have personally practised, and it works amazingly, in providing you a constant reminder of your Big Why/Goals.
a) Get a journal, diary, piece of note or paper or you can even use the word documents or PowerPoint slide in your computer and later make it as your computer screensaver.
b) Divide into few columns, one for Ultimate Goals and one for 2018 Goals [Personal, Carrier, Business, Health, Relationship, Family, etc].
c) Your Ultimate Goals is the goals that you have in your mind the entire life, with no timeframe. It is your biggest and wildest dream. Write this down, don’t judge or question it if it can be done. You need to write down your wildest dream, look at it and this is exactly how you train your mind to see the possibility in achieving those dreams. For instance, it can be to build a dream house by the beach side, buying a Lamborghini, taking your parents out for Europe trip for a month and etc.
d) Pull out another page and now write down your Big Why based on the categories. Finance, Carrier, Family, Relationship, Business, etc. Make sure you put the due date and time frame and describe your Big Why in a detailed description.
e) Create a wallboard or a vision board. Visualize your Big Why, take pictures from the internet that represents your Big Why, and paste it on the board. Place it somewhere you can view it daily as a constant reminder to focus on your Big Why.
f) This is something that I do on a daily basis and I bet you it will change your entire life. Create a journal for your Daily Goals. Here, you write down the goals that you can think, every morning, keep 1 page each day, and re-write whichever goals that you can think off, put some colours in it and highlight the priority ones. This motivates your mind; refresh the ideas that you might have to get closer to your goals.
Do this and now you will have a clearer vision on what you need to do to get to your Big Why. If you are not sure of your purpose in life, if you don’t have a logical or passionate reason to tackle your day-to-day tasks, you are going to find it hard to focus on your exact Big Why.
Stay focus, give out all you can, all you have and remain consistent in what you do daily to reach your Big Why. The laziness in you will disappear in to the thin air.

I am a person who loves to plan things up since I was young. However I started using planner and journaling my to-do-list when I started my first job and it has been very helpful in terms of arranging my daily task and schedule. I usually plan things the night before and will write it down in my Daily Journal from the time I wake up until I hit the bed. The next morning I will just go through the list while sipping my coffee or tea and I will get a clear and fresh idea on what I need to do first.
Other than that, I also have a Yearly Planner that I carry everywhere, it is in a A5 size and I get to see my weekly planner in it. This is where I will jot down all the necessary appointments or scheduled appointments, the activities that I have in my business, my personal to-do-list or events, any important birthdays and etc. I also have a small column for each day that I schedule and plan which online platform I will need to utilize to market my business or the days that I need to blog or write up an article, work on a project, days that I need to utilize for seeking knowledge and so on.

3. Exercise Regularly and Watch Your Diet
How does this associated with you not becoming a lazy person? A healthy mind comes from a healthy body. In order for you to have a healthy body you need to exercise regularly and watch your diet. It is a simple formula for a person not to be too lethargic and fall deep inside the lazy zone.
Always remember that lounging on the sofa watching TV and eating your snacks or junk foods isn’t going to help you in losing weight. You got to stop living in denial, and start moving to the direction sweating out your calories and changing your eating habits. These effective changes can lead you to a healthier body and lifestyle, making you feel lesser lethargic and feeling energized instead of lazy.
Successful people make it a habit to exercise first thing in the morning daily. It releases endorphins that make us feel happy all the time. You will also have a good memory as exercising increases the production of cells in the brain. However, if you are working in the morning, you can always occupy your time in the evening to hit the gym.
Walking around your house, doing house chores or even brisk walking in the nearest park can make you feel better and energized throughout the entire day in accomplishing your daily task. Ever wondered how those uncles and aunties that walk around our housing area in the morning do it every day? What is our excuse in living a healthy life?
Never compromise in watching your diet daily. Have a habit of drinking water or lemon water first thing in the morning and before you hit the bed to stay hydrated. Incorporate vegetables and fruits in your diet on a daily basis – Yes! Daily basis! If you are not getting enough healthy foods into your body, it can also affect your overall energy. We all know it is very easy to drive through MCD or KFC and grab our fastfood – Please do try to cut out excess junk food and regular meals per day. If you do feel hungry in between and you are someone who prone to grab chips or biscuits, try to substitute it with healthy snacks.
I use to be someone who grab chips and my favourite use to be Oreo in between my meals. I came to a realisation that it will only accumulate more fats in my body and will eventually make me feel less energized. I now practice eating mixture of nuts [There are so many ways for you to mix and match seeds and nuts in the market, you can customize it to your own preferences] which is high antioxidants and will boost your energy at the same time. Try this and I can ensure you will stay away from being lazy and lethargic throughout the day.

4. Have A Backup Plan or Seek Knowledge
Planning is necessary and for me I will strongly advise you that is a must in order for you to be able to organize your daily routine. This will occupy your time and you can stay away from being lazy; thinking that you have important things to do.
But you also need to know that some plans might not work out; which is totally fine.
For instance, you have it planned to have an appointment with a client at 7pm today. And it is postponed to next week. The appointment supposedly last for 3 hours including your dinner. Now that it’s cancelled, you have that ‘free space’ in your planner and you are clueless what you want to do next. This is where the back-up plan comes in. You always need to list down on a separate page/worksheet the things that you can do in case of a cancelled appointment. It can be to continue working on a project that you have scheduled in your list to avoid you from wasting the time lazing around doing nothing.
Never also stop seeking knowledge. There is always room to learn anything new. Even if it is pertaining to your current project or the business that you are running, do some research and continue absorbing more knowledge. The more you learn, the more you earn in future. If you are having a lot of free time and you do not know what to do, visit successful people stories or steps that they have taken from the moment they start a business, the moment of failures that they face and all of their achievements. Speak to more people outside of your network, be it from Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks, expand your network and learn from them whatever that you can which will benefit you. Even if it doesn’t benefit you, it can be a form of knowledge that you will treasure one day.
One of the most beneficial tips that I can share here is to have a small exercise book or a journal that you carry with you all the time to write down all the new things that you learn. The note book that I have is pretty much a simple exercise book, and each time I fall into my free-space, I will start opening either YouTube Channel, Entrepreneul Channels or LinkedIn Networks to learn new things and I will write it down. The things that you read and watch will be absorbed a little bit more if you are to taking down notes just like how we use to do when we were in high school or college. This way, your time will be occupied and you will have no time to be lazy.
That will be some of the tips to share on How to Stop Being Lazy. At the end of the day it all comes to your mindset and the way you train your mind to think. Thus, it is way better to practice having positive attitude and occupy ourselves with productive tasks to be a better person.
Step it up and do something hard and you will magically find out that being lazy isn’t much of a choice anymore!
