How to stay on track...

How to stay on track...

Hi,

My engagement dropped significantly on LinkedIn last week (-80% ??), and the reason was... ??

I took a break.

Yep.

I took a step back for a week.

No posting.

No commenting.

No like:ing.

No DM:ing.

No nothing.

It was a much needed break, and yet, it got me thinking.

We all know that we need to stay consistent to succeed in being an Entrepreneur. And being consistent means - follow the schedule that we have set up.

Because as soon as we stop following our schedule, we fall off the horse.

And don’t get me wrong here - because it’s not about the algorithm. I couldn’t care less about the algorithm.

It is about:

? Once you’ve worked yourself up to a certain point, when you drop down, it can be much harder to get back to that same level. AND

? As a business owner, you want to stay on top of your prospect’s mind. Once they’re ready to commit, you want them to see you first, so that they’ll be saying - “hey! I need you now!” If you're not there, they will most likely say that to someone else who's there. ????

So how do you stay consistent when you know there will be days, and weeks, when you just don’t feel like posting, or engaging?

It’s simple. You pre-produce and schedule content.

“But hey Josefine”, you might say, “that’s not authentic!”

Well. It is. Just because you create some type of content or cover a certain topic, it might not mean that it is EXACTLY what your audience wants and needs right now.

Your audience will see it, and consume it when they need it.

This email for example. The reason why I write about this now is because I recently went through this experience myself. You on the other hand might be right in the middle of creating, posting and engaging and loving every second of it.

But there might come a time, when you think - “hmmm… I'm feeling a bit low, and Josefine said something about remaining consistent. Let me go back and read that email.”

So, here are my thoughts on some points that can help you stay on track:

?? Pre-produce when you can, and schedule it

?? Repurpose older content, and across multiple platforms (yep, even emails - if you're on my "regular" email list, you will have received this email already!)

?? Create what YOU want, it won’t resonate with everyone (and that’s okay!)

?? Cut up videos, blog posts, and articles into smaller pieces that you can use as posts

?? You GET to be on social media, write a newsletter, post in your community - you don’t have to ?? - this is an important mindset shift

?? Collect questions you receive, or see (yep, also in other people’s posts), so that you can reply to them when you have no idea what to write or talk about,

AND the last one

?? Do NOT care about the algorithm - you do YOU, but make sure you ENGAGE with others, because that’s the secret ingredient

Here’s what’s happening this week:

Wednesday

Tomorrow Wednesday I will have Ken Westgaard as a guest in Josefine Meets. He’s a Podcast Host, and a Launch Coach and works with stars such as Colin Boyd and Brandon Lucero, who have 6- and even 7-figure launches.

Join us LIVE on either LinkedIn, my Youtube Channel OR in the Community, and you get to ask ALL the questions you might have about launching.

Friday

Free LIVE training - the Business Health Check

Join me in this LIVE training inside the Community, where we will dive into your numbers, and decide on what actions to take to increase them - independently if you start at 0 or 100k.

I will take you through how to calculate conversion rates, and how to structure your business model to achieve your revenue goals, and yes, you’ll get the templates for it!

Next email that you’ll receive will be about what works best when it comes to sales ??. How do I know that? Because I wrote it already!

So, go out there and take some inspired action!

Hope to see you on Wednesday and Friday!

// Josefine

P.S. The training on Friday - the Business Health Check - is perfect for kicking off this second quarter. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get your goals and actions in order. The link takes you directly to the Event inside the Community. Please register even if you can’t attend live, so that you’ll find the replay easier.

I took a break from LinkedIn for a week Josefine and all my numbers dropped in that time. But I returned to my routine which is posting 3 to 4 times a week and my stats are now even better than when I took my break (two weeks later). Sometimes we need the break. Lesson learned: I will never let the algorithm control what and how I do anything.

Amen, Josefine! A was told by an old mentor of mine the same thing - It's easier to keep going than to start over, over and over again. Also, when you have made a commitment and promise to yourself, it's important to stick with it. If you start breaking those, nothing good will happen and you will lose respect for yourself. Of course shit happens sometimes though ??

Gah. But I do really want and need breaks. My life is not run by a LinkedIn algorithm. Totally relate though.

Such a tough one when you put in work, but don’t see the results. I think it comes down to having a plan you believe in, not get discouraged from zero feedback, and keep going until you get some. Once you see progress, it’s much easier to keep going.
