How to NOT stay motivated
I managed to check all of these off this week. I'll be honest, this week has felt quite sluggish. Perhaps it was related to losing an hour of sleep from the time change, or the rain in Vancouver, or having back to back rejections from potential clients.
The first step to staying UNMOTIVATED is not addressing or being aware of your feelings. Though I've experienced all these points this week, I know the next week will be better. I am aware of my behaviours and what I need to do to re-energize and motivate myself.
Instead of fighting or resisting these feelings, I have learned to accept them. As well, I have adopted a mindset that I need to be 100% responsible and accountable to myself for creating this motivation, intrinsically.
For a period of time in my life, these behaviours were all I knew. It felt normal to have a messy room, distracted attention, poor sleeps, and procrastination. Life felt flat, slow, and repetitive.

Wanting some motivation right now?
What can you do in the next 2 minutes to boost your energy?
Get outside? Push ups? Journal? Sing? Write? Socialize? Sleep? Rest? Game? Work? Eat? Power pose? A high five?
You don't need to wait for someone or something to motivate you. Build the motivation from within!
Great article Casey! Keep up the good work. Can you write an article about how exercise has helped you improve your motivation? For me, last year I started going to kickboxing 3-4 times per week and it's really improved the quality of my life.
