How To Stay In Marraige
Before we dig into several aspects of how to stay in a marriage, the truth is nobody has the formula of how to stay in the marriage. However, it very important to know the originator of marriage and how was the institute was ester-bushed from the beginning. Marriage was instituted by God in the Garden of Eden at the time of man’s creation as a union between man and woman (Genesis 2:18-24). “The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of the man.” 24 “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh”. We can see that marriage is an intimate and complementing union between a man and a woman in which the two become one physically, in the whole of life.
If you buy a product from any store, for that product to work effectively, you must follow the instruction of the producer which is the manual. The bible is the manual for marriage, you must surely succeed in marriage if they follow the bible instructions. Marriage is God’s great idea, but in every marriage, there are seasons of difficulty and times of dryness where one or both partners may feel dissatisfied with the marital relationship. As we work to improve our marriage, sometimes our efforts don’t produce the changes we want. In marriage and in life, the temptation must surely come. The temptation is a test, if you passé the test, you move to the next class you will not be promoted if you keep on failing the test. Marriage takes two people, fully committed, choosing every day, to love and cherish. Never be enough to see you through the toughest times.
To stay in a marriage, sex has a very important role to play. The husband should not deprive his wife of sexual intimacy, which is her right as a married woman, nor should the wife deprive her husband. Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery. Hebrews 13:4 Drink water from your own well -- share your love only with your wife. Why spill the water of your springs in public, having sex with just anyone? You should reserve it for yourselves. Don't share it with strangers. Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. May you always be captivated by her love. Proverbs 5:15-19. 1 Corinthians 7:5). He states that the couple should be active in the sexual relationship so that Satan cannot tempt them. Peter encourages husbands to treat their wives with understanding so that their prayers will not be hindered (1 Peter 3:7). From these passages, we can see that marriage is a spiritual battlefield. It takes work to fight for the relationship, not to fight in the relationship.
To stay in a marriage, you must understand the consent of marriage. It is not a game you rush in and rush out. Jesus warned us in the book of Mark 10:11–12 Jesus said, “A man who divorces his wife so he can marry someone else commits adultery against her. And a woman who divorces her husband so she can marry someone else commits adultery.” Based on the Bible, we see that people don’t have the right to dissolve a marriage. God intended that marriage is for a lifetime.
The following scripture helps my marriage anytime I read them.
Ephesians 5:31-32 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."
1 Corinthians 7:1-40 - The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres.
Ephesians 5:21-23 - Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. The husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Proverbs 18:22 - He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord. Hebrews 13:4 - Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.
Genesis 2:22-24 - Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of a man.” That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
God Bless You.
