And it takes time - so get started now!
If you’re looking to elevate your career, then you need to BOLT down the process. The day-to-day.
This was an extremely hard step for me, especially when I was young.
Not because I wasn't structured. But because I didn’t get it. It didn’t seem important to me.
On another note, nobody really told me.
What I mean is that, I sure did hear?"you need to get organized Gonzalo".
But at the same time, nobody really empathized with me...
...took the time to explain to me, understand my day-to-day, and work with me closely to restructure my days - create a new future.
So that’s my aim with this article.
Let’s start with your Mental Real Estate (Mindset)
The attitude, the energy, and the outlook on your future are extremely important.
I must tell you that how you start the first five minutes of your day, will have a MASSIVE impact on the rest of your day.
We’re going to talk about high-level strategy here, before we bolt down to your day-to-day, hour-to-hour, and minute-to-minute.
Without going into much detail, you need to have some sort of Morning Formula. What I’ve seen works, is it has to be yours. Not mine. Not some guru's
There are so many articles, podcasts, and workbooks, etc to tell you how to do it.
But I’m afraid those won’t work. Unless you make them yours.
And nobody can teach you how to make them yours, but yourself. There’s no theory or instructions manual. Just have to get started, an experiment.
Some people say "fail and try again". But I like to see it differently. It’s more about dead reckoning.
Is about accepting that, your first try won’t be optimal (instead of calling it a failure), and that you will course-correct each action, and will achieve another state of "non-optimality".
Repeating this process until it gets polished.
So, no failure, just continuous improvement.
On another note, the fact that you don’t have this perfectly bolted down at first doesn’t mean you cannot start with the next step, which is building your strategy.?
Your Career Strategy
Your Career Strategy doesn't need to be more than a?plan (could?be on a napkin) that integrates both your personal aspirations with your career.

There needs not to be a separation between both.
Your aspirations may well be becoming the CEO, or a part-time glider pilot on the side.
Either are equally important. Because they will be the fuel that motivates you - what’ll make you wake up every morning.
So before talking about how you’re going to structure your day today (including your weekends), it is extremely important to have this Northstar in place.
And understand it.
Your Day
I always say that in any recruitment process, what gets the needle moving, is your interview strategy, interview psychology, and interview tactics.
Many reasons for this, but if anything, this is where the job offers formalize themselves.
So hence why it’s so important.
On the same note, what will get the needle moving in your life, is your day.
How you structure it.
And how consistent you are every day on this structure. Regardless of how you feel.
For this structure on a daily basis, you need to have your priorities in check. Physical and mental.
If not your body won’t work.
Sort of how you’d want your car to have the tires well inflated, the tank full of gas, and new oil in your engine, before going on a roadtrip.
So for this - start a calendar structure where you set everything in order, taking into account not to overwork yourself, and make sure you get enough sleep, exercise, and nutrition - in that order.
Schedule blocks that are realistic and start testing and stressing the system. Something like this:
Make it interesting and fun. And this is where this article draws to an end.
Contrary to what it’s typically expected, I cannot (and should not tell) you how to do this.
I can tell you what has worked for me, but at the end of the day, this is your own experiment.
And you wouldn’t want it another way.
