How to Start a New Career?
#1 Build & show your work publicly (online)
Make it as easy as possible for people to check all the work you’ve done in the past. One easy way to do this is to use?Linktr.ee,?or you can also use?Notion
Created mine?here with Linktree?and?here with Notion
#2 Join (Free/ Paid) Bootcamp
There are a lot of EduTech companies that offer paid or free courses to level up your skills set & build up your portfolio, especially to enter the growing tech industries.
One of them is RevoU, where you can choose to learn about?Full-Stack Digital Marketing,?Full-stack Business Development, and?Full-stack Data Analytics,?
#3 Tidy up your online public profile
Make sure you give a great first impression when others check your social media (LinkedIn/ Twitter/ Instagram/ Behance/ Dribbble/ etc.)
Have a clear profile picture, bio, and actively share your content or content you are interested in.
#4 Build your “connection list” & proactively reaching out to them
Have a list of people you know and reach out to them to tell them you are planning to start a new career + ask for a recommendation.

“Hi (name), after (X years) working at (current company), I’ve decided to explore new opportunities in (explain your field & expertise). If you have any people or company that you think I should reach out to, please do let me know!”
You can try via LinkedIn message / Email or even WhatsApp if you believe your relationship with the person is close enough.
#5 Find the job opening + reach out to the hiring managers
When you found a job opening online, try to go the extra mile.
Instead of just hit “Apply,”.
Search the?people ops/?HR/?Talent acquisition?/?the Hiring Managers?from that company on LinkedIn, connect with them, and tell them that you are interested in exploring the role.
#6 Be really-really good in your interview process
You will be competing with 10/100/1000 others candidates for the role you are applying for. Be really-really good during your interview. How?
Research about the company, industry & role; proactively ask questions.
I wrote more details about it in this article, “How to (really) stand out in a job interview?”
That’s all. All the best for your career searching journey
