1 年The increase in subscription services actually doesn't surprise me at all: There is a growing recognition of the value in reputable news sources in an era often marred by 'fake news'. Consumers are more willing to pay for trustworthy, accurate journalism, particularly during social and political turbulence. As such, many respected news organisations have successfully implemented paywalls and subscriptions, reinforcing the perception that quality news is worth paying for. Whether the journalism is, of course, high quality is a topic for another post! :)
