HOW TO START A FREE VIRTUAL MASTERMIND GROUP
Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have been involved in many useful small peer-led groups that have come together to learn, develop and share. With the current covid-19 crisis I thought it would be good to help people to set up their own FREE support groups.
A mastermind group is a small focused peer-to-peer support group. I’ve put together a simple video and checklist that shows you how to run a Virtual Mastermind Group. Click here for more information: www.tinyurl.com/vmgroup
How does a virtual mastermind group work?
1. 6 people agree to meet once a week (60mins) for 6 weeks using an online platform.
2. Each group has an organiser who moderates the group and ensures progress.
3. Week by week the group explores issues, share ideas and supports each other.
4. At the end of 6 weeks, the group debriefs and shares learning.
5. Groups can either disband or reboot for another 6 weeks.
Mastermind groups work best with a shared theme, suitable peers, safe and honest conversation and a simple structure to ensure they provide impact and value. We’ve already got many groups up and running this week. I know these groups will play a positive role in helping people and businesses evolve and survive over the next few weeks.
We are asking participants to cascade the idea by agreeing to run another group themselves. This hopefully amplifies the support and reaches more people at this critical time. Government is doing its bit, but business owners can do their bit by supporting each other and the virtual mastermind groups are a free, simple, and effective way to do this.
