How To Star in an Article Divisible By One Hundred

What does it take to receive a showcase in one of my articles? It has more value than a participation trophy. You have to impact me somehow. No one grows up thinking "Someday I shall inspire someone to write a tribute article to me". It could still happen.

Rereading one about a dear friend whom I worked with long ago led me to share it with him. Like most of my favorite people he is not on LinkedIn. No one has joined LinkedIn at my behest. Are articles my take on recommendations?

It does not bother me that no one has given me a recommendation. Zero colleagues on the position I have held many years use this site. Could I ask for recommendations? If my life depended on responses to CTA's I would have died long ago.

Fun Fact: After writing about CTA's I received a request to connect with a bus driver with the Chicago Transit Authority.

I have ridden the subway in Chicago. I did not ride the bus. As a general rule of thumb bus drivers are friendly so it might make sense to connect. I am connected with janitors, mailmen and many others who enhance this site.

Should I write showcase articles about them? If there is reason to do so. There are only four articles per year divisible by one hundred so there are not many slots available. It is nice to reflect on the best relationships and the next person to be showcased- probably in September- is to be announced.

The best ways to receive this distinction which I appreciate is to work with me, move out of the area when I am close to a showcase article and receive tribute that makes you easier to remember. I have written at least articles about people met through No Longer Virtual (including Trent who would not attend the conference. We met face to face so it counts). I shall carry a torch for many who are worth remembering. It is time to meet more memorable people who will propel me to greater heights.
