There is a real science to Program Design, Training & Optimal Dietary Strategies for Physical Conditioning.....

For example, below are examples of different dietary preferences (for the same person) that include big differences in calorific intake & varying macro % in grams by taking into account different "body-types" (& respective goals i.e. fat loss, weight loss, maintain or gain weight)

All relevant information is obtained through information gathering (normally during a consultation) that serve as firm guidelines for "specific" parameters based on the desired effect/goal.

Of course, nothing is ever set in stone as things can & do change...

But, at least when you chart a course - You have a damn good idea where the hell you're going & certainly know when you reach your destination
