How to Spiritually Coach to Wellness?

Are we even aware of how being overworked with inadequate rest, and no meaningful life after work takes a toll on our life? In this endless loop, how can you find happiness and wellness?

Why are we stuck in this disempowering lifestyle? What are our options? Would it be being left behind in the rat race, being endlessly on the treadmill, or becoming a monk, even a fake one? You are not alone in this. There are millions across the globe, from factory workers to farmers, teachers to techies, all caught in this relentless and meaningless pursuit of a mirage. All are frustrated in not finding any kind of a balance between work and personal life.

?What is the way out? How can we discover a more meaningful way to earn a living even if it's hard, one that provides an opportunity to do something we are passionate about? This discovery requires?spiritual intelligence ?and spiritual coaching .

What Do We Do Day & Night?

I asked the AI chatbot to tell me about the daily routines of people around the world. This is what the bot said.

  • The farmer in North Dakota wakes up early, works hard through the day, and rests with a drink at night.
  • Bangalore techie snakes through traffic, is glued to work screens through the day and dreams of finding a partner.
  • A Shanghai beautician slaves with clients late into the evening, with personal time left for anything else.
  • The Argentinian livestock farmer works like the American farmer, working hard through the day, but takes a long siesta, spends till late in the evening dancing the salsa and drinking, and gets up bleary-eyed.

Whatever geographical and cultural differences there are, here's the common thread of a 70-hour workweek reality. Does this lead to well-being and happiness?

Life Beyond Work: Exploring Happiness and Purpose

?

Animals in the wild hunt to survive, rest when satiated and relax in a much more intelligent manner. Humans have the 'monkey mind'. Monkeys have greater natural intelligence. They aren’t thinking their way to illness.

Humans believe our intellect makes us unique. Yes, but it also makes us foolish and evil. When do we truly think through why we are here, what is the meaning of our lives and the impact on us of our actions? We spend our lives working hard, neglecting to reflect upon the meaning behind it all.

Relaxation is essential, but is it enough? Do we also need to introspect and contemplate the bigger picture: the purpose of life and work, and how to be truly happy and well?

The Unaware Mind: A Barrier to Wellbeing

Many research studies show why we need to be aware and intelligent, cognitively, emotionally, sensorily, and more and more spiritually, to be well holistically.

?

Otto Scharmer calls the lack of this awareness “absencing ”, where our mind, heart, and will are disengaged from reality. We are influenced by our judgmental conditioning. Our ingrained beliefs from childhood through religion, politics, race, and culture rule our unconscious mind and drive our conscious actions. Unawareness makes us inferior to animals who live on instinct. Humans with our 'monkey mind' struggle with anxiety and stress.

This unconscious absencing state leads to ignorant unawareness influencing our actions negatively, and impacting our well-being. The root cause of unhappiness and suffering is the unawareness of this state and its consequences. We become addicted to patterns. Substance abuse is as bad and dangerous as toxic limiting beliefs.

From Absencing to Presencing: The Power of Spiritual Intelligence

Scharmer ?Theory U is a blueprint for a transformational mind shift from absencing to presencing. This is a Hero's journey from closed mind, hearts and will to open minds, hearts, and will. For this transformation to sustain lasting happiness, we need spiritual intelligence.
