How to Speak in Public Like A Pro?

Right from the very beginning, I could sense a spark in Kajal and could see a successful trainer in her. Though she had good communication skills and confidence, yet she required a bit of guidance to speak in public like a pro.

With right guidance and suggestions, Kajal started working really hard to improve her public speaking skills and gradually, she started doing extremely well in group-presentations during her PGDM days.

Today, Kajal is a professional working in hospitality industry and conducts town hall sessions and presentations in front of her seniors with all the grace and confidence.

Here are 15 super-suggestions to do well in your upcoming presentation,

1. Do become passionate about the topic.

2. Do Practice.

3. Do get honest feedback from someone you trust.

4. Do use body language to help make a point.

5. Do become natural and sincere while speaking.

6. Do face audience more than slides.

7. Do smile.

8. Do speak with conviction and enthusiasm.

9. Do use props, stories, questions, short video clips, examples etc.

10. Do use occasional “spice” like humor, images, sound, questions etc.

11. Do vary your voice.

12. Do pause after important points.

13. Do relax, breathe deep and use nerves to your advantage.

14. Do remember that the audience wants you to succeed.

15. Do remember that anyone can learn how to become a better presenter!
