How Social Media Influences Pharmacy Design?

How do social media platforms impact the design of pharmacies? Let's explore the evolving world of interior design in the era of Instagram.

How often have you come across a pharmacy on social media that caught your eye, prompting you to reshare and discuss it with friends and acquaintances?

From stunning historical pharmacies to modern and original spaces worldwide, there's been a noticeable increase in pharmacies aiming to become the go-to destination for photographers and influencers. They are also working to create the perfect sales choreography to highlight the expertise of their dedicated pharmacists.

The sharing of pharmacy photos often acts as a trigger, motivating followers to capture "the same" photograph in the same place.

When selecting a vacation destination, the concept of Instagrammability has gained significant importance. Instagrammable places or objects are particularly photogenic for sharing on Instagram.

This trend is particularly evident in sectors like tourism, hospitality, and services. According to data from a Booking.com survey of 18,500 travelers from different countries, 70% of respondents choose their accommodation based on its design.

Numerous studies also highlight how an Instagrammable destination is a decisive factor for users when choosing a location. This means that Instagram aesthetics increasingly influence the interior design projects of companies.

HOW TO LEVERAGE INSTAGRAMMABILITY FOR PHARMACY INTERIOR DESIGN

In the world of pharmacy, Instagram can be used as a means to promote your business, whether as a form of self-expression or a platform for showcasing your products and services.

Elements such as decor, lighting, and color contrast are just a few of the factors that can make a pharmacy particularly appealing to users. From the uniqueness of the overall design to the details worth photographing, pharmacies cannot afford to ignore these trends, especially if they want to attract audiences closely tied to social networking platforms.

Booking.com's research also reveals that for 4 out of 10 travelers, decor is a fundamental element in choosing places to visit. Additionally, 3 out of 10 respondents admit to spending more time than planned at a location due to its decor.

This trend is also strong in Italy. The survey mentioned earlier shows that 21% of Italian travelers appreciate the opportunity to visit an Instagrammable facility.

The significance attributed to interior design isn't limited to hotels, restaurants, or museums but extends to pharmacies as well. The layout of these spaces can best represent the uniqueness of the pharmacy, positioning it distinctly in both physical and online competition.

From eye-catching entrance signage to elaborate wall paintings that reflect the logo's colors, paying attention to detail can inspire photos and subsequent shares, ideally mentioning the pharmacy.

A GLOBAL PHENOMENON

From high-end fashion stores to public bathrooms in London, this phenomenon is global.

Madelin Markoe, co-founder of a restaurant, explained that the average visitor spends 10 minutes taking photos before placing an order, with some even bringing tripods to capture the perfect shot.

Not limited to entrances and main areas, even bathrooms can feature sufficiently unique designs to warrant Instagram photos. Vogue magazine has published articles specifically on the most Instagrammable bathrooms in London's restaurants and hotels.

Cultural spaces like museums are also increasingly striving to be Instagram-friendly, offering immersive experiences and exhibitions that often invite social media lovers to take a selfie or a more artistic shot.

In my personal experience as well, last winter, my daughters compelled me to visit some cafes and restaurants in Paris simply because they were Instagram-worthy and had long queues to get in!

The Instagrammable pharmacy is a place where customers can not only purchase their body and mind care products but also have a unique and immersive Instagram experience. It's a location that travels swiftly across the internet while remaining rooted in its territory, an oasis of beauty and well-being, whose image will be appreciated everywhere. It's also a unique and special physical place where customers can't wait to return:))
