How Social media changed my life!

Going from earning more than ￡30k per year, great holiday privileges, travel up and down the country along with lots more perks to live a comfortable life. To be struggling to pay for a coffee at lunchtime or walking everywhere because I had to sell my car to keep up with mortgage payments. 

I gave up my secure, well paid, full time office job to pursue my dreams of being a world-renowned food blogger “QulturedGenius” with the help of social media. In 6 months it’s propelled me into a mini stardom. I thought was only possible in Hollywood movies.

Rubbing shoulders with millionaires in their ￡5000 a night presidential suites with a hot tub and skyline view that would make Donald Trump blush. Celebrities and A-listers became familiar faces that I often took a step back to look around to see if I’ve walked on set of a movie by accident! 

You’re probably wondering how exactly have I managed to get in this position? Well… Let’s just say it’s not been easy and it’s certainly for the faint hearted. Late nights and a lot of heart ache has carried me through this journey. Perseverance and a drive with a clear goal in mind is how I accomplished it all.

Instagram at the time was my tool and platform of choice, in 2017 I changed my account into business account and got rid of all my personal and irrelevant photos to turn it into a food blog where my audience could indulge in my creative writing and mouth-watering dishes.

Tony Robbins talks about anticipating a trend instead of reacting is hugely beneficial for doing business. I have applied the same principles with business and have gone from strength to strength. Social media is widely undervalued by businesses in current markets.
