You know the experience of being with someone who is controlled by their social autopilot. You feel exhausted, unheard, unacknowledged. It’s a draining experience. You just don’t feel complete.

Social autopilot equals:

  • Distractedness
  • Factual conversation
  • Absence of emotions
  • Lack of curiosity
  • Jumping from person to person
  • Interruptions and tangents
  • Changing the topic randomly

When your attendees have their social autopilot ON, they don’t form the connections you want them to make. They also won’t experience the sense of community you want them to feel.

  1. You communicate your ideal social norms.

I just read your post, and it’s incredibly inspiring, clear, and fresh. I have my own fresh ideas about teaching movement and reconnecting people with their bodies, but your insights help me see new ways to connect people not just with themselves, but with everyone else in the room too. Your work resonates with me deeply, and I love how practical and applicable it is. I just signed up for the newsletter and can’t wait to dive in further. Thank you for sharing, Jacques!
