How to Sit

There’s a wonderful book by Thich Nhat Hanh called “How to Sit.”\

We’ve all done it and we all think we know how to do it, but Hanh helps us really understand the beauty of sitting, really sitting.

Sitting in silence.

Sitting and observing.

Sitting and simply being patient.

As my therapist said to me the other day, “you can really add a lot by subtracting.”

By sitting and subtracting out the need to DO something, you (or at least I) have the potential to add a lot to your life
