How to Simplify Product Listing on Wayfair with Feed Files? A Comprehensive Guide for Sellers

Let's begin listing your products with Wayfair feed files.?

Select ‘Add New Products’

Navigate to Product Management from the menu > click "Add New Products" to begin.?

OR Navigate to your Wayfair Partner Dashboard. Within "Quick Links," choose "Add New Products".

Select ‘Quick Upload’

For efficient bulk product uploads, utilize Wayfair's Quick Upload tool. This method allows:

Bulk product addition via a single spreadsheet.

Multitasking supported: Work on other tasks within Partner Home while uploads are in progress.

Error review within your original spreadsheet.

Submit products individually as they are ready, without waiting for a perfect file.

Template Download

Follow these steps to download the template:

• Click on the "Download Template" box
• Select Category and Class - Specify the relevant product category and class within the pop-up window. While category selection is optional, class is mandatory for proper categorization on Wayfair.
• Click the "Add Selected Class" button to confirm your choice
• Proceed to "Download" and the "Product Addition Template" will be ready!

Fill in the template & upload: The product Addition Template contains Required, Conditional, and Additional fields. Enter Essential data in the template, ensuring no Required Fields are left blank.

Stock Keeping Unit (SKU):

Wayfair's unique product identifier. It is an alphanumeric code representing product characteristics (manufacturer, brand, style, color, size).

SKU Types:

Standalone Product: Sold individually.

Composite: Comprises multiple components with specific part numbers.

Sellable Component: Can be sold alone or within a composite.

True Component: Can only be sold as part of a composite.

Product media can be added in 2 ways:

Direct Upload: Upload your media files directly through the platform using the "Upload Media" function.

Template URL: Include media URLs within the template file, and ensure proper placement within the designated template columns.

Imagery Guidelines:

Product Image Requirements:

High-quality: Minimum 1000x1000 pixels, ideally 2000x2000 pixels for optimal detail.

Quantity: Showcase each product with at least two images, ideally more, for customer confidence.

Variety: Capture the product from diverse angles and settings for a comprehensive view.

Clarity: Ensure images accurately depict size, functionality, and any special features.

Upload the "Product Addition Template":

• Supported File Format: xlsx
• Drag and drop or select the file containing your product data (max 10,000 products, up to 10 classes).
• Directly uploaded media or URL downloads might show as processing initially. An updated review file with processed media will be available for download later. Edits can be made to the review file while media processing occurs.

Note: Templates used in the Guided Upload tool are incompatible with Quick Upload.

Product status overview:

From the "My Upload" section, review the upload history, and identify any errors through the highlighted section. Download the error file for detailed issue identification and correction and re-upload the corrected file once all errors are resolved.

Warnings: Products with non-blocking suggestions for improvement.

Ready: Products prepared for submission without any issues.

Submitted: Products successfully submitted for processing.

Date Uploaded: Timestamp of your original file upload.

Auto Linked Media: Automatic association of media with products (if applicable).
