How Sharp Are Your Tools?
How sharp are your tools?
When I refer to tools, I'm actually talking about your skillsets.
Let me give you an example. After my back surgeries I had to adapt my golf swing to make up for the loss of flexibility.
I’ve been working with this pro for the last couple of years and getting some good results. However, despite our progress, there were a couple of things he asked me to do that I couldn't manage. Frustration set in as I struggled to achieve the desired results.
So yesterday, I was having one of my lessons with him, during which he evaluated the situation and identified a crucial issue – due to my limited flexibility, my initial golf swing lacked the appropriate club angle.?
He made one simple adjustment, changed the angle just slightly - and voila! All of a sudden I was hitting the ball straight, I was hitting 60 yards longer, and, most importantly, the swing did not hurt me. It was so easy it just went naturally.
So my point to you is this: What skillsets are still giving you a little bit of a challenge? What skillsets are not giving you the results you want and make you work harder than you have to?

Identify the?skillsets?that you want to work on and see if you can find that simple adjustment. If you can’t do it yourself, find a?coach who can evaluate you.?
Ladies and gentlemen, that simple adjustment is what is going to bring tremendous Velocity in whatever you are trying to achieve.
I had a good friend who taught me this lesson when he was?learning how to play golf.
I asked if he went to a pro and he said: “Yes, I didn’t go to any pro I went to the best pro.” His rationale was clear: why practice things that won't lead to desired results? Find a pro who can pinpoint your needs, allowing you to practice effectively.
So, when practicing your?skillsets, are you doing it in a way that adds Velocity to your efforts and results? Or are you creating drag, because the way you are using those skills are a little bit clumsy and they are not working the way they should?

11 个月I am a very Healthy Multiple Sclerosis Patient. After 8 months bout not walking, or driving, and more than I want to share,. I walk, Drive, participate in a regular pilates class, have gotten my cognitive memory back, and passed 32 units of continuing education. It was only mindset that could have made that happen. Too many doctors and therapists couldn't see a way my goals were realistic. In business and health, realistic is not the road to success.
