How to Share QGIS Projects in 2024
Pairing the analytical capabilities of QGIS with the collaboration features of Felt is an incredibly powerful combination, a process made easy with the Add to Felt plugin for QGIS. With a few clicks you can publish a QGIS project to the Web, complete with raster imagery and styles.
Go to the Plugins menu and select Manage and Install Plugins …. Make sure all is selected in the QGIS plugins window, and you'll see Add to Felt near the top. Select it, and then click Install Plugin. Afterwards, you'll see an icon with the Felt logo in your toolbar—that’s the plugin.
Activating the plugin will bring up a panel showing your existing maps. If you don't already have a Felt account, you'll be prompted to set one up. In the panel, select a workspace from the drop-down menu, and then specify if you want to create an entirely new map or add to an existing map.
By default, the Add to Felt plugin will only send visible layers in QGIS over to Felt. This gives you tight control over what assets you want to share. Once in Felt, you can invite colleagues and clients to view your map via a simple link and easily control who to give access to view, comment on, and edit the map.
