How to Set Yourself Apart in A Saturated Market

I understand that it can be difficult to stand out from the crowd when everyone is using online advertising. It's time-consuming and expensive, and it's hard to keep up with the constant changes in platforms.

But, if you don't focus on getting publicity, you'll miss out on the benefits of the "invisible ROI." These include instant credibility, social proof, and expert status.

The benefits of publicity far outweigh the benefits of online advertising. Focus on getting publicity if you want to scale your business quickly and efficiently.

There are lots of ways you can get more publicity and press and in today's newsletter I want to share my top 4 tips to start off strong:

1. Create a list of potential media outlets you would like to target.?

This could include local TV stations, newspapers, magazines, and websites. Reach out to these outlets and pitch your story ideas.

2. Develop a press kit?

A press or media kit is a great way to introduce yourself and/ or your business to anyone who wants to talk about or promote your offers,? such as influencers, event attendees, journalists, or prospective clients.

This kit provides everything needed to make it easier for them whether they have a podcast, a personal blog, or just want to share your story with their community.

Your press kit should contain at last:

  • An about section that describes you and your business's story?
  • How to get in contact, links to social channels
  • Links to, and excerpts from press releases and media coverage you've received in the past
  • Media assets, including logo, headshots, videos?

3. Keep track of your media mentions

Tracking your mentions will give you the chance to respond to key mentions and you can be proactive by sending thank-you notes to the reporters, editors, and producers who write about you.

4. Seek out speaking engagements

Speaking events offer a great opportunity to showcase your knowledge, get noticed, build trust, and network with new prospects.?

Seek out leadership seminars, motivational speaker events, webinars, podcasts, Industry round table events, and other opportunities to share your expert knowledge.

By following these simple tips, you can quickly and easily set yourself apart from the competition in a saturated market.
