How To Set Up Your Own Strategy Day

How do you map out what’s next for your business?

When I worked in corporate, we had big strategy sessions where the whole team got together for a couple of days to plan out the year on a massive whiteboard.?

When you’re an entrepreneur and running things your own way, it can be difficult to know how to look at your business from a strategic perspective.?

I’ve been in deep strategy mode lately, looking at my long term plans and bringing them into the micro.?

I’ve learned how to intertwine the spiritual and energetic elements to find amazing clarity for what’s ahead.?

How to approach a strategy day

Define your big vision

My big vision is to help one hundred thousand women become the healthiest and wealthiest version of themselves through the form of entrepreneurship.?

When you define your big vision, everything flows from there.?

If your business is plateauing, you’re attracting unaligned clients or you’re unsure of the next steps to take, it’s likely because you don’t know your greater mission.?

This is why understanding your big vision is the first step and one that can’t be overlooked.?

Time scale your goals

Once you've solidified your greater mission, the next step is to break it down into smaller goals.?

Get a massive piece of paper (I used brown wrapping paper this year) and write down how you can start working toward your big vision within these time frames:

5 years

3 years?

12 months?

90 days

60 days?

30 days

Be specific and make it fun! I use different colours and post-it notes to organise my thoughts and help me visualise.?

Define your foundational pillars

Write down every single product or service you offer.

This is a powerful place to begin to help you discover the core themes in your business and how they encompass the products and services that you offer.?

When you understand your foundational pillars, this flows directly into your products, services, and messaging.

Boil it down to 3 pillars so that you can clearly define who you are, who you serve and how you serve them.?

Decide how your products sit within the foundational pillars

I have a lot of offerings.

After looking at each of my products and really defining my foundational pillars, I had amazing clarity on what offers will no longer be running next year.?

Take a deep dive into pricing

When you know your offers are truly amazing, you won’t be afraid to charge what they're worth.?

Sit with each product and ask yourself what price you should charge. I did this with Michael and we both came within $1k of each other for every single product.?

Meditation and energetics

Most entrepreneurs map their business out and then leave it there.?

But after our strategy day, Michael and I went to the tarot cards for any elements we were unsure of.?

We played with the spiritual and energetics and closed off our strategy day with a meditation, which brought even more clarity about what the future holds.
