How service differentiations can capture new value of 5G
Ericsson Networks
Our purpose is to create connections that make the unimaginable possible. #ImaginePossible
The current one-size-fits-all approach to providing connectivity needs to evolve to capture the value of 5G.?
While enhanced mobile broadband still meets the needs of a range of 5G users and applications, differentiated, experience-based connectivity becomes desired or even necessary for many specialized business-to-customer, business-to-business, or flourishing ‘B2B to any end-user' (B2B2X) cases.?
These new requirements and needs call for a shift in communications service providers’ business models. To make this happen, 5G differentiated connectivity created through performance levels is needed. It enables communications service providers to offer new 5G premium services to consumers and industries delivered at scale and on the move.??
5G standalone networks enable communications service providers to create a differentiated value with offerings based on larger data buckets, lower latency, higher speeds, and overall improved user experiences. 5G standalone also provides new capabilities that allow offerings with committed performance levels, such as lag-free mobile cloud gaming, real-time media for video conferencing/live broadcasting, remote-controlled machines/vehicles, and future XR/MR applications.?
In the materials linked below, learn more about the true potential of 5G and how to capture its value through differentiated service offerings.
Three building blocks for creating a digital future: Performance, Cloud, and AI
The value of 5G goes far beyond allowing communications service providers to offer new cool services. Its real value stretches to enabling connectivity to everyone and everywhere, creating a more sustainable world, building a more secure society, and enhancing global collaboration.?
We see three technology enablers in creating our digital future: high-performing networks, artificial intelligence, and the cloud. Learn more about how these three enablers make our digital future a reality in the shape of digital twins, holographic communications, Industry 5.0, zero-energy devices, and more.
