I'll keep this simple for people who are not so familiar with SEO, but know that it is beneficial to their business. SEO is the practice and procedure of getting your website responsive to Google, to make it more appealing to Google, should I say. If it's done right, your website shows up at the top of the page in a Google search.

People look at the top of the page in a sequence. A lot of them skip right over the ads. In the business, we refer to this as "banner-blindness". I'm not saying ads are bad, you need them as well, to spread out a wider net.

After the AI result we see the 'Places"{ section, which is also known as Google Maps. Only the top 3 results are visible. If you ain't there- you're nowhere. No one will click on 'show more'. People look at the top 3 that are showing and click or scroll down to the organic results.

After the Google Maps section we usually see a section of "People also ask", followed by the Organic Google Search results. If you are showing up in the AI, Google Maps, and Organic Search Results, you've basically hit an SEO Homerun.
