Did you know you can upload a video onto your profile picture? What if you used this to spend 10-20 seconds introducing something about yourself. Not a summary of what we already see on your profile, but a personal insight about yourself, or what you do, or something to direct people to your inbox or your website. Or what if you join the 2% of users who actually post on LinkedIn and provide valuable content? Not just reposting a blog you like, but what if you shared why you liked it or what you learned? Or use it to ask a question and get people to engage in a conversation on your post? What if you actually look at the names of the people who view your profile? What if you use this database to start connecting and search for potential leads? There is real power in these things! Real people are taking real action with this and brining in real results.

Thanks for this. I've been watching video after video on YouTube about how to maximize one's LinkedIn experience. So many people abuse the platform by introducing themselves and launching immediately into an obnoxious sales pitch--SO annoying. In reality, LinkedIn is a FANTASTIC platform for networking. The videos on YouTube offer great and surprising ideas on making the most of the platform.
