How to Sell Effectively

I walked into the classroom and threw my Iphone 7 to one the particpants and said to her, "Hey, you! take this phone. Now try to sell it to me". This was how the sales class started.


There are only three ways of selling

  1. Value Based Selling
  2. Solution Based Selling
  3. //DELETED// *PropertyOfTheHexavianMasterclass


So, as a role play, she tried to sell it to me, by telling me the features (KYP- Know Your Products). She threw the phone into a bucket of water and left it there just to show me that my Iphone 7 is water proof. That technique is called 1. VALUE BASED SELLING. Another person tried to sell it to me using KYC (know Your Customer) by asking me first what my preferences for a good phone is and then in response to that engagement tried selling me the IPhone as the exact thing I need.. That comes from Seth Godin Marketing Concept delivery called SOLUTION BASED SELLING. Now which one do you think is the best method?


I need your response. However there is a third method which is the most effective method, which only great sales people know how to use. I think solution based marketing is the better of the two
