How to Sell at C-level for Dummies - special EOFY & writer's block edition

Hi gentle reader (as Lady Whistledown would say in Bridgerton),

After getting up at 4.30 am this morning to watch England vs Serbia in the European Championship in my local pub (they opened especially for the game - I limited myself to one beer, just as England limited themselves to one goal) - I sat down to write Edition #4 of "How to Sell at C-level for Dummies".

It's the one I promised about which people to contact once you've worked out which companies you're going to contact.

But I'm struggling with writer's block, no doubt brought on by the trauma of watching England just hang on to a 1-0 win, so I'll write the next edition later this week.

But what I did do was to create a contrarian Special EOFY (End of Financial Year) offer and write a post about it. As you're a faithful subscriber I thought it's only fair if I let you know about it too, especially as it is a very limited offer.

Here's what I said in that post.

The Post

EOFY (End of Financial Year) SPECIAL!!!!!

Here in Oz the financial year ends on 30th June & everyone & his or her dog is offering EOFY specials.

Why should I be different?

Well, because I want to. Different is good.

So here's my EOFY special.

Normally my fabulous (he said modestly) eBook - "How to Sell at C-level - the Transcripts" costs US$75.

As it's guaranteed to a) help you get a lot more meetings with senior executives & b) help you make those meetings much more successful it's a bargain at twice that price.

In fact, as it costs anywhere between $1,000 and $3,000 to get a meeting at C-level, you'll get the equivalent of 20x the purchase price when it helps you get just one meeting.

And you'll get a heap more than that. So here's my EOFY special.

Buy my eBook before 30th June 2024 & the price will
.....be DOUBLE.

That is, it will cost US$150 or the equivalent in $A (let's call it A$250 to make it simple).

Why would you pay twice as much for my eBook?

Because I'll throw in a 60 minute session with me (more or less - more if we keep talking, which is likely) to discuss how you can use what's in there in your specific situation.

My hourly rate is US$400 so that's actually a pretty good deal.

There is a catch though. This is limited to the first five people to say "Yes" below AND to pay me.

Why only 5 copies?

Well, it could be a cunning use of scarcity to get you to sign up.But it's actually because, in my dotage, I only work one day a week & I don't want to do any more one-on-one sessions than that (at least, not for US$150).

So roll up, roll up, buy my brilliant but scruffy & badly edited eBook (it's a 377 page PDF I did myself) - first five to answer (and pay) get it.

And I keep telling you LinkedIn, I DO NOT want to rewrite this with AI - stop asking me!

That was the post I wrote this morning, more or less. I also tagged some of the people who have already bought the eBook and asked them to write an honest review. So far only one, Shane Whitehouse, has done so (it wasn't long ago) and he wrote:

"This is nearly 400 pages of insights. Not only do you get Steve, you get every other expert he was talking with. Everyone in sales wants to start with call at the top yet it rarely happens. Steve's expertise will definitely help you. You will read it, several times over. You can listen to the podcasts from the links. What's not to like?"

Which was nice of him.

Your offer

I was genuine about not wanting to sell more than 5 copies (or rather not wanting to do more than 5 one-on-one sessions) because my wife is keen for me to retire - I'm not going to, but I am cutting back a lot - & I thought I'd be stretching it if I did too much.

But then I thought it's a bit unfair on you, as a subscriber to this newslette, if they get snatched up before you've even had a chance to see the offer.

So I'll extend the offer as follows.

If you want to take advantage of it, let me know before this Friday, 21st June, & let me know you're a subscriber to my newsletter & I'll honour the deal.

You can message me on Linkedin or email me on [email protected] - be sure to put "newsletter subscriber" in the subject line because I delete 95% of my emails without opening them.

What you get

The eBook is 367 pages of transcripts of podcasts I've been a guest on;

  • Two with Marcus Cauchi, winner of several awards for his brilliant podcast
  • Three with Sales Reinvented, voted best podcst of the year in 2023
  • Marcus Cauchi with Martin Stevens on cold calling - Martin is one of the best around on this topic
  • My keynote on Selling to C-level Executives at a Sales Masterminds Australia (the best attended one they've ever had)
  • A brilliant keynote by Jacques Sciammas, President of Selling to Executives, to the Strategic Account Management Association
  • Two webinars for the Sales Experts Channel, one with me, one with me and Jacques
  • Two Future Proof Selling podcasts - one with me & host Steve Norman, one with Jacques & Steve Norman
  • Marcus and Jacques in another execllent discussion
  • Various other podcasts & stuff

You'll also get a 60 minute one-on-one session with me to talk about your situation (although they tend to go a bit longer).

And I'll throw in the transcript of an excellent discussion I had with Andy Paul on his podcast - Andy is brilliant too, you probably already know him. He was kind enough to send me the transcript.

Summary

So, sorry for the delay in Edition #4 of Selling at C-level for Dummies, I'll get it out soon.

But hopefully you'll see this soon enough to take advantage of my EOFY (what a stupid initialism that is) offer.

If you would like to please let me know by Friday this week, June 21st 2024.

The Picture

The picture is the Heugh Battery, Hartlepool, which I took on my recent visit. It's famous for two reasons:

  1. It's the site where the first soldier to be killed on English soil in World War One during the bombardment of Bartlepool on Wednesday 16th December 1914. His name was Private Theophilus Jones. Three other soldiers were fatally wounded during the bombardment.
  2. I was born 100 metres away in St Hilda's Hospital (now demolished - I'm surprised they didn't sow the ground with salt).
