Your Score: 75.01 – 90% | Big Picture Forming!
What does your score mean? Here is one interpretation:
Big Picture Forming
Good job! You’re above average in your self-awareness. The blinders are coming off, but the big picture is still forming. Keep going! You’ve gained a lot of insight and had plenty of aha moments in your life. There are details missing that will serve as keys to moving on to enlightenment.
Given that I am one of those with Goals, Lists, Affirmations, and Vision Boards, this came as a bit of a surprise!
As a leader, or a prospective leader, how self-aware are you?

The ability to guide, inspire, and influence others often describes what leadership is. I would say, however, that without self-awareness, it is impossible to become a good leader.?
Self-awareness is an introspective quality, often defined as a deep understanding of one's emotions, strengths, weaknesses, and values, and serves as the cornerstone of effective leadership. It enables leaders to make informed decisions by understanding their own biases and limitations.?
By recognizing your strengths, you can leverage them to inspire and motivate your team, while acknowledging your weaknesses allows you to seek complementary skills in others. This leads to more balanced and well-rounded leadership, where individual strengths are harnessed to create a cohesive and efficient team.
As a leader, if you are attuned to your own emotions, you are better equipped to empathize with your team members, fostering connections and resolving conflicts more effectively. This creates a positive workplace culture where individuals feel valued and understood, thus increasing engagement and productivity.
Self-awareness also fuels personal growth and development. A leader who continually reflects on their actions and decisions is more likely to adapt and evolve, promoting a culture of innovation within their team. Additionally, a self-aware leader is receptive to feedback, recognizing it as a valuable tool for improvement rather than a threat to their authority.

1 年Thanks for sharing this post and your perspective, Terryanne. Self-aware leaders are vital to the success of a company. We want leaders that recognize their faults, strengths, or where they lack perspective to best guide their people. We can’t have leaders that allow themselves and their employees to fly blind!
