How to be SEEN in order to become KNOWN

Do your ideal clients know of you? Do they have a way of finding you and learning about you? Or are you a hidden gem, no one really knows about?

In order to attract your soul tribe to you, there are two things you can do, either get onto the rooftop and scream, letting people know you are open for business, or you can have a strategy in place that will allow you to be SEEN on a consistent basis, which will allow you to become KNOWN.

Any entrepreneur who operates an online business, and even if they don’t operate an online business, need to have a strategy in place that will get their message in front of their ideal tribe. Whether it is through offline strategies, such as networking, speaking, advertising, etc., or online strategies such as content creation, interviews, social media, etc. but there has to be an effective strategy in place to attract ideal clients to the business.

One of the mistakes many online entrepreneurs make is that they are not very visible, not visible enough, or visible very inconsistently. The key here is to have a powerful strategy in place to CONSISTENTLY get in front of your soul tribe so they can get to know, like and trust you.

No one likes to invest their hard-earned money into someone they don’t know, and the best way to become known is by becoming visible.

However, the biggest challenge entrepreneurs face is the fear of putting themselves out there, of being visible, out of fear that people may judge them, reject them, or worse, make fun of them. Another challenge is the “How?!?!” Too many entrepreneurs simply don’t know how to become visible, what they could be doing on a consistent basis that will get them seen and known.

Both of these challenges are often the reason why so many entrepreneurs hide in the shadows, instead of shining their light and letting the world know about their amazing services, offers, and the work they do. Which then results in staying that hidden gem that doesn’t get to make the impact you are here to make.

In this article, I would like to share a few tips on how to overcome the fear of being visible, as well as a few tips on how to start becoming seen in order to become known

Six tips on how to overcome the fear of being visible:

-       See your immense value! This is not only important as it relates to being visible but every aspect of your business. If you don’t see your immense value, it will affect your income, your reach, your impact, and overall success. Allow yourself to be amazed by your work, your gifts, and your ability to truly help others. Know that you are making an impact, no matter how big, or small, but you are making a difference. The more you value yourself, the easier it will be to stand in your power and feel confident to put yourself out there, to let people know what you do, and that you can help others.

-       Find strategies and ways to put yourself out there that lights you up. If you do something that truly excites you, even the work you do, if what you do lights you up from within, if it’s the right thing, fear won’t hold you back. Your excitement will then be the driving force, that will get you into motion. But whatever you do in your business, to grow your business, and to get you visible has to feel right, and it has to light you up from within.

-       Uncover the real reason behind your fear. Doing the inner work is extremely important to discover what is going on beneath the surface. Uncover any beliefs, fears, worries, experiences, situations, and things you have learned through others that are linked to your fear of putting yourself out there. Do you perhaps fear of being judged for who you are, or what you do? Do others don’t “get you”, which is causing you to hide, out of fear that others won’t “get you” either? Uncovering the blocks and resistance associated with becoming visible will allow you to heal, release, and let go of whatever is holding you back, so you can step out and shine your light.

-       Take the focus off “your stuff” and instead, focus on those you are here to serve and support through your work. When you focus on others and make supporting them a higher priority, you won’t be thinking so much about your own “stuff”.

-       Make your success a MUST! This is such an important decision you need to make in order to succeed in the game of being an entrepreneur. If you make your success a “would be nice”, “I wish I would”, “I hope I can” then you are not very serious about succeeding. However, if you make your success a MUST! NO QUESTION ABOUT IT! Then you will do whatever it takes to succeed. This also means, finding a way to overcome the fear of being visible, because you know, in order to become KNOWN, you must first be SEEN so your soul tribe can find you.

-       Work with a mentor, a coach, or someone that can help you break through the fear, the challenges, and whatever is holding you back. You should never try to grow your business all on your own because for one, you don’t know what you don’t know, and it would take you a long time, with lots of trials and errors, to figure things out on your own. Secondly, you are often too close to your own “stuff” and don’t always see clearly. A mentor or coach can help you achieve the success you want, much quicker, and with less discomfort and frustration.

There you have it. A few tips on how to overcome the fear of putting yourself out there. Next, you might wonder how to get started, and what can you do to become more visible.

I hope by now, you have realized how important it is to become visible, to consistently get in front of your soul tribe so they can get to know you, learn about you, and start building a bond that will eventually lead them to take that next step with you.

Three tips on getting started with putting yourself out there and become more visible:

-       Have an effective, and consistent content strategy in place. Having an effective content strategy in place will allow you to consistently be visible and be on top of your soul tribes' mind. You want them to see your content on a consistent basis, so they won’t forget about you. This is a passive way of attracting clients which will also help you in building up your credibility, likability, and visibility.

-       Use speaking to share your message in a powerful way. This can be done through offline speaking such as hosting events, speaking, retreats and such. Or through online outlets such as podcasts, webinars, summits, YouTube, Livestreams, and even online challenges. Ideally, you want to utilize a few of these strategies as it will deliver a more personal touch as your soul tribe will be able to experience you on a deeper level than the written word. By using a form of speaking, your soul tribe gets to connect with you energetically, they hear you speak, they can sense if they like you based on how you show up. You can’t really bring this across effectively through the written words.

-       Gain greater reach through collaboration. When you partner with other experts and build a Joint Venture partnership, both parties will gain greater reach as you promote them, and they promote you. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.

There you have a few tips on what you can do to become more visible, and there are many other ways to get out there and shine your light. But the key here is to find what feels right to you. Choose strategies based on what feels in alignment, not based on what you see others do, or what others tell you that you should do, but base your decision on what feels most in alignment with you.

Of course, you don’t want to base your decision on what you think is the right thing, because when you “think” it’s often based on limitation, doubt, and fear. Instead, feel into each strategy and base your decision on what you “feel” is the right thing for you, for right now.

Can you become known without being visible? Not really!

If you stay hidden in the shadows and stay that hidden gem, you are doing yourself, and those you are meant to support, a huge disservice.

Consider this, what is the BEST that can happen when you start putting yourself out there more, were more get to learn about you, and be drawn to what you do?

I would say, a lot of amazing things can happen when you start shining your light and letting the world know about your amazing work. And I'm not talking about screaming from the rooftop!
