How To See Google's Cache For Any Page
Google recently removed the "cache" link from SERPs. But you can easily see Google's cache for any page with simple JavaScript. Check out below!
The missing "cache" link makes it a bit more difficult to see how Google indexes and caches a page. Folks at Google have said using the URL inspect tool in Search Console is a better way to do this type of analysis. I think they are right, but that only works if you have access to the site's GSC account. Which makes things like competitive analysis or troubleshooting impossible.
But anyone can still access Google's cache and I am going to show you how...
How To A Create JavaScript Bookmark For Google Cache
javascript: (() => { window.open('https://www.google.com/search?strip=1&q=cache:%27+window.location.href,%20%27_blank%27);%20})();
That's it! When you want to see Google's cache for a page, just visit the page in your browser and then open your new bookmark you just created. It will take you to the page's cache in Google's index.

1 年Nice one, Joe! I’d bet a lightweight chrome extension that simply puts the cache links back in the serp would get some installs, too.
