If you are new to Digital Marketing, you will wonder what SEO really is and how it works. The good news is, it's not rocket science as it may appear. Let's start with definitions. According to MOZ SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results.
How search engine works is very simple to understand, and i will try to explain it as simple as i possible can. Remember to share on social media if you find this content helpful or meaningful.
Search engine consists of 3 parts:
- The crawlers ( this is also and often called bots or spiders)
- An index
- An algorithm
The process begins with the bots or say spider, travels the web through links and links connects pages together. The spider then look for data, particularly looking for contents, headings and links which contain information about what the page is about and how it is structured, this is done by the spider 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 52 weeks year.
