How To Scale Facebook Ads: 4 Ways!

The first time you work on a Facebook ad campaign is exhilarating. You learn so much that will serve you well in all the ad campaigns that follow. Once you have a good grasp of the way Facebook ads work, how do you scale your campaign?

There are a set of steps you should follow throughout your campaign which will help you make these decisions.

1. Extend your reach beyond your Audience’s geographic area.

Depending on what type of business you have and the audience you are targeting, you may or may not be able to operate outside your chosen geographical area. If you are able to provide your services and products beyond your immediate area you should consider increasing the geographical area you are targeting. This is a good way to scale your Facebook campaigns and enter new markets you haven’t saturated yet. Your Facebook Pixel can help you make decisions about the location your ad campaigns should be targeting. Keep your budget small to start and increase it as you see results.

2. Increase the size of an almost identical audience.

A duplicate Facebook audience will probably resemble your best existing customers. When building a lookalike audience you will use data from your Facebook pixel. Facebook will identify the common qualities between the source audience and the duplicate audience and will empower you to deliver your ads to similar type people. Start with a smaller audience and increase it as you receive positive validation. Scaling the different audiences will help you get your products and services in front of more people.

3. Change up your Facebook ad creative and segment your audience.

The reactions you get from your Facebook campaigns will depend on where your followers are in their customer journey. That is why the objective of your campaign is so important. If you intend to inform your audiences about a product, a video may be the best medium to do so. Keep your objectives in mind when you create content for your campaigns. You can tweak things as you measure the performance of your campaigns and get more data.

4. Monitor your budget.

When you are running an ad campaign you need to monitor your budget and determine whether additional expenditure is necessary as you go along. Increasing your spend every few days as you begin to see good results is called vertical scaling. An easy way to determine whether your ad spend is warranted is to keep an eye on your ROAS (return on ad spend) There is an equilibrium where additional spend will not result in better results; you need to be aware of this as your campaign progresses.

How about you? How do you scale your Facebook Ads? We would love to hear your insights!
