So I'm sitting in a first year Chemical Engineering lecture and I have a life changing breakthrough on the role and purpose of life.

The second law of #thermodynamics says that the entropy of any [isolated] system always increases.

My one weakness is my inability not to #extrapolate. So I said to myself "I plan to become an engineer and engineers take disorder and create specificity"

Then it struck me engineers do that- but so do other people. Animals build nests. Grass makes blades...

My breakthrough: #Life is the opposite force to the second law of Thermodynamics

Many years later I was working on why #Change and #projects come to us in different types depending on the relative ratio of #knowledge/#learning to #execution/#change as part of research for my #WorldAfterMidnight framework.

Plants select their home and mostly stay there all their lives. Animals move and can live in multiple #habitats. They encounter a wide range & often more frequently.

Animals need a way to 1. be able to #respond fast 2. #predict what #actions would give the best chance in future.

2. Means going into the future to find out That projection requires #consciousness (and also embodiment - which is why we use qubot avatars on QUBE - but that's for another time).

Ignore #experts

Both 1. & 2.need #thought.

You need tools with which to think.

Some use images (Engineers).

All use #Words.

To think new thoughts you must use existing words and new ones in new combinations.

The prerequisite for that is #freespeech and ignoring #experts.

Remember if it's new or novel there are NO experts!

Without #Freespeech you can NOT EVER #explore and answer the new & novel through #collaboration & #dialogue.
