HOW RUNNING CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE... It did for this man who runs 17 miles per day...

Hey Team!

Running...

What are your thoughts?

My knees? My back?

High School gym class....

The most dreaded day of gym....

Or..

Maybe you are saying..." I feel so good after I run"...

"Nothing burns more fat for me than running does.."

I do not know what you are thinking..

But, what I do know is this..

If you are healthy...

Running works.

But not just physically speaking...

It works to strengthen your mind better than anything I have come across...

A few weeks ago, I went to watch the Yankees play in Baltimore with a family friend who was married a few years ago...

I asked him how his father-in-law was doing since he was a very impressive guy when I met him for the first time...

He told me, "He is doing great!"...

Knowing he was in great shape and very financially successful when I met him, I wanted to know more.

"What does he do for his fitness routine?"

My buddy Chris answered,"He gets up in the morning, throws on his shorts, and runs 8.5 miles before work."

WOW.

Amazing.. I figured to be as head-strong as this guy he must be doing something different than most...

Then, I could not believe what I heard next...

"He get's home from work, throws on his shorts, and runs another 8.5 miles! He has been doing this since he turned 40. He is now in his 60s... and he never misses a day.. On vacations, travel days, early days.. you name it, he is running. Also, he never gets hurt."

This was totally mind blowing to me....

But I realized something...

He was using running to strengthen not only his physical state, but his mental state as well. Taking full advantage of the runners high and diffusing his stress with every stride.

You see, in life and business, the better you become the more you have to deal with.

The question is, "How do you deal with it?"

Are you turning to the negatives like food, alcohol, or other substances and negative habits... OR..

Are you focusing on the generation of POSITIVES.

That is what this man does. Invests in himself.

Now, 17 miles per day is not for everybody...

But, what is your routine?

What is your 17 miles? How are you investing in yourself?

What do you do every single day as a way of building YOU. 

Invest every single day in your most valuable asset. YOU.

The only thing you have in life is your WORD and Your Health! (although Al Pacino begs to differ)... 

Focus on developing routines and habits that fully align with your definition of success... and your mission, vision, and goals...

If you get in the rhythm of things... by attacking your routine every single day... you will feel so good... 

Do not use holidays, weekends, travel days, or other variables as a reason not to do it...

Make your routine the first thing you do each day and you will be on your way to a successful day.... 

This is a mini victory that ultimately will lead to more winning....

So, take a few minutes and write down something that you can do to build your physical, mental, and daily recovery routine...

Stay consistent. That is the key to short and long term success!
