How it was? - Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifier Women in VolleyStation's numbers

Busy times for us again in VolleyStation! But we love it. Three Olympic Qualification Tournaments are done, and three right ahead of us (meanwhile we are covering beach volleyball and some leagues - no time for boredom). Let's check how the Women's Qualifiers looked in our numbers.

First of all, big congratulations to Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Poland, Serbia, Türkiye, and the USA who secured tickets to the Paris 2024 Olympics. Great job ladies!

Working in three different time zones is already something normal for us. Our technical supervisors worked on-site in Japan, China, and Poland, while our scouting team coded and analysed all the matches remotely with Dual Coding.

In VolleyStation, we are kind of addicted to numbers. Some will call us freaks, but we call it passion You probably didn't know, but teams in Poland played 106 sets, in China 104, but players in Ningbo scored more points overall #funfact.

We can discuss which volleyball element is the most exciting. For sure serve can be considered as one of the most spectacular. During three tournaments players scored 707 aces. Will men score more points? We will back to you with the answers in mid-October.

Below we took into consideration only the spikes, as our statistician teams analysed the matches during the seven match days. Dominican Republic, who gained the ticket in Ningbo, China, scored the most in this element. This team scored also 62 times in block and made 28 aces.

Speaking of block... The two best blocking teams were Poland (91) and the USA (79). Right behind them with 77 points there were Brazil, Germany, and Türkiye. On the individual podium stand Emily Maglio, Canada (26), Anna Danesi, Italy (25), Yuanyuan Wang, China and Candelaria Herrera Rodriguez, Argentina (24).

Some more detailed statistics from VolleyStation, during Road To Paris Volleyball Qualifiers can be found on the Volleyball World website.

Big applause to Magdalena Stysiak, who was also the best scorer at the Volleyball Nations League this year.

There's actually an error in the article, Dominican Republic gained the ticket in Ningbo, China (not in Tokyo). Anyway, really enjoyed reading this article ????
