Happy Thursday!?
In this week’s newsletter, we cover:?
Let’s get into it.
?? Book Release: Create Once, Distribute Forever ??
It’s time to get a head start on that summer reading list — Ross’s new book, ‘Create Once, Distribute Forever,’ is officially available. He’s been preaching the value of content distribution for years across social media, podcasts, and the speaking circuit.?
These days, how and where you distribute your work is more important than the work itself if you want to make an impact — amazing products and extraordinary ideas are no longer enough.?
Unfortunately, distribution is the missing piece in many SaaS marketing engines, even those at the enterprise level. That’s why Ross put this book together.
‘Create Once, Distribute Forever’ is about how to build a sustainable, long-term marketing strategy and ensure as many people see your content as possible. With real-world examples, helpful checklists, and a step-by-step playbook for crafting your own distribution plan, you don’t want to miss this!

B2B SAAS NEWS
RingCentral’s Recipe for Dominating the UCaaS Space
It’s always fun to dissect a B2B SaaS brand with staying power — companies that have gone through wave after wave of technological innovation and still remain on top.?
That’s the story of RingCentral.?
The company was founded in the early 2000s as a business telephone system (think call centers) and rode the cloud wave to become one of the leaders in Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS). RingCentral brought in $2.3B in revenue in 2023 — an 11% increase over the previous year. And according to their earnings presentation, they aren’t even close to done. The company has a goal to bring in an additional $100 million in revenue through its multi-product portfolio.?
The question is, how is RingCentral bringing new and existing users to its site to sell these offerings? Especially when they’re up against companies like Zoom, Cisco, Dialpad, and 8X8.?
In our most recent SaaS breakdown, I take a look at how the decades-old brand is driving traffic and converting new users. Here are a few of the tricks RingCentral has up their sleeves:?

If you’ve been following Foundation for a while, you know that Ross really is at the cutting edge of marketing.
That’s why the folks at LinkedIn asked him to start teaching marketing courses. It’s an amazing opportunity for Ross to share what he knows with others, and we’re all very excited that people are already getting so much value from these courses.?
In fact, Ross just added two new mini-classes called nano tips — they contain quick, actionable pieces of advice you can start using immediately. One is on social media strategy, and the other is about building an AI prompt library.?

?? This Week’s Brain Food ??
This week, I was lucky enough to witness the solar eclipse.?
After a week of news coverage on the cloud forecast, the day finally arrived. As predicted, it was an overcast day. But about half an hour before the eclipse was set to begin — just after 2 p.m. EST — the weather changed.?
The rain stopped, clouds parted, and the stars aligned (well, star and moon, in this case).?
My neck of the woods in Southwestern Ontario (Canada) is just outside the totality zone. So, technically, it was a 99.44% eclipse.
Still, the eclipse itself was a surreal experience. Free glasses from the local library let me and countless others stare without eye damage. Then there was the eerie 3 p.m. twilight. And, of course, the image of a slowly rotating crescent sun as the moon moved across its position.?
I came away from my first eclipse with a few important takeaways:?
But the biggest takeaway of all was this: make sure you take time now and then to appreciate the magic this world has to offer (especially if it only comes by once every few decades).?
