How to retain loyal guests at Your Hotel
Did you know that getting a new customer might potentially cost you 7 to 8 times more than actually retaining an existing customer? Well, that boggled my mind, it did, when I realized. Hence, here are a few tips to make sure that you can easily retain your guests:
- First impressions do matter, but in the hospitality industry, it is the last impression that takes the cake. Make sure that when your guests leave, they leave happy, and even if they did not have a very conducive stay, they will remember their last experience here as a happy one.
- Reward their loyalty! Make sure that your guests know that there is something good in it for them, if they stay at your hotel again. Maybe slashed rates, or a free dinner?
- Make sure that even if you are out of sight, you are not out of mind! Keep in touch with your guests through newsletters and mailers, but remember, nobody appreciates a constant stream of spam. Be thoughtful, and send only periodical mails.
- OAsk for reviews and feedback, and on receiving make sure that you reply to them as soon as possible, and in a polite and well-informed manner as possible.
- Remember the special requirements and requests of your guests, and provide them with these when they return.
Try these out, and let me know if they work out for you. There are more where these came from, and we can sit over a cup of coffee to discuss them. I am an email away.
