How To Reset and Get Your Energy Back Using A Proven Process

All right, welcome to today’s post. Post 2 of 4 in this week’s series.


Now, this post is about reset.


Life reset, the reset button, the reset switch, all that kind of stuff. 


In a reset, there’s something that, at least for me in my experience, and what I've witnessed with all my clients over the years is that there's something deep inside, that's wanting to emerge, wanting to come out and wanting to be authentic.



It usually starts with some ‘aha’ moments that you uncover between the way your life is and how it’s playing out.


I went through a complete life overhaul back in 2014. I sat everybody down, hey, I'm resetting my life. I ended up walking away from a 13 year relationship, two successful companies and the works.


It was pretty much whoa, what am I doing with all this? And what am I creating? It gave me an opportunity to really dial in what are the exact steps needed to go forward in a reset situation without all the needless drama that shows up and all the crises and things that can really go sideways and get out of hand. 


When you see people go through a midlife crisis, or just any type of crisis in their lives it can be pretty, pretty intense. 


So I made sure I wanted to understand this. 


And this is the basis. The foundation of resetting is what you're going to learn today.


So one of the things I want to address are commonly held myths about our thoughts and feelings. 


This is where most therapy, most healing modalities, and self help practices kind of focus on… our thoughts and feelings. 


If you have negative thoughts, you have negative feelings, you have negative feelings, you have negative thoughts, and all that kind of plays off on each other. 


And if you somehow disrupt it, then you can somehow have a positive thought or positive feeling. And that's the basis of it.


This is where positive thinking likes to come in. 


This is where, all the different modalities out there, minus only a couple that I've seen over the years of my research, get stuck.


Now, if you want to stay here, that's cool, it can be pretty superficial though. 


And then that part of you that's really wanting to come out, that deep internal piece gets sidelined. This pressure coming up from your depths, has a lot more depth to it than that. 


So what’s past thoughts and feelings?


Beyond that the thoughts and feelings are what I call pictures. 


Pictures can be any number of things. It could be trauma induced pictures, they could be memory pictures, they could be identity pictures, there could be all sorts of different types of pictures that have this major impact on you. 


So you have all of these polaroids in your psyche, so to speak. 


What happens in here is say you have this identity as an Olympian, or green executive, mom or whatever the picture is that you've developed in how you should portray yourself in the world, that gives you a sense of identity. 


Now, with this type of picture, you get all sorts of ideas, influence from society, wherever it comes from, and then it ends up changing the picture. Your life becomes something you didn't think it was going to be, well, I wanted to be a successful green executive. 


But I wasn't expecting all this stress, all this pressure, and all this drama. And all this relationship challenge in my personal life, in my professional life and whatever… my god like is this really, really what I want?


And that's a picture, that is causing all that stress. 


So when you're experiencing stress points in your life, what you're actually experiencing is a triggered picture. 


And it's right front and center. You're stressed out. You’re thinking about it all the time. And it just runs your whole day off of that picture.


And what happens in here, when you understand energy, is that your energy and life force runs through the picture. 


It's like a software system or an application in technology. It operates through that particular operating system. And it creates all these problems. 


And if you've got, let’s say a virus running through it, it's going to create all sorts of problems through those pictures.


And what happens is that this influence and this impact from the virus comes in and shuts down the computer. You start to get the glitches and that's what happens in your internal stress. 


And simply put… your stresses are trying to tell you, something is off. 


Then you couple that with all this input. All this stuff coming in from other people's opinions, societal ideas, others’ emotions and so on that are really throwing a wrench into this.


Going even deeper than this is that when these types of pictures get triggered is you get an additional, what I call, core picture that starts running the show. 


Hiding underneath these other main pictures, is this core picture. 


So let's say you have this huge drive to ultimately be a successful executive, but the core picture that's underneath that drive is I'm not good enough and you’re trying to prove yourself. 


That's what actually drives it, as an example, not saying it is for you, but it might be. And so when we have all this pressure coming at us, the I'm not good enough core picture gets triggered. 


And you feel like a failure, you feel like you're not going to succeed, you make really poor choices and judgment, because the stuffs really charged. 


You snap at people. You lose your balance of your emotions. Everything just kind of goes on and goes on and really kind of impacts us in a significant way. 


Now, these core pictures are usually childhood things but not always. They could be endings of relationships, they could be very impactful moments in your life, that are basically helping you create these types of pictures.


The foundation of these types of pictures, and then all this stuff in daily interaction, influences these types of pictures and it all just bounces off of each other creating internal mayhem.


And this is what's actually going on in your system that heavily impacts your stress, heavily impacts how you manage your time, and your energy and your vibes and everything like that. 


Now, when we go a little bit deeper, is what's called programming.


So programming could be cultural programming, family programming, a specific kind of reality in the world, like you know, politics. This is huge right now, there's always politics, there's always war, there's always all these things. There are all these kind of programs that operate in our world. 


For example, the belief that war is going to somehow create peace. You know, I'm going to go injure some people in another country, therefore, that's going to somehow, you know, create peace. I don't really get that. Not my programming.


But that's our program and our culture. We also live in a very much Western based society, which is very Christian, not that you need to be Christian to be part of that culture. 


But our work week, Monday to Fridays, and our weekends are based on a Gregorian calendar, which goes way back to a Christian monk, to the third or fourth century AD. 


And so we live in all this programming that we don't necessarily know about that. 


What happens is this programming informs our core pictures. 


So here’s an exaggerated example. Let's say a child loses both their parents when they're about 11 years of age. 


Now, in a Western society, that's very sad, very dour, poor, orphan, everything like that. In an Eastern culture programming, life is to be celebrated. 


It's a very different level of programming, which will ultimately inform these core pictures in a different way, which then will inform the pictures underneath that in a different way, which will then inform your thoughts and feelings. 


Now, I hope you're getting this. All this stuff here is what is often called your subconscious. 


For me this is something you can be very conscious of.


So there's a lot of stuff going on here. Now, there are only two modalities that I know of that actually get to this point. One is EMDR, which is a psychology based or psychiatry based modality. And it can be pretty intense and slow going. And it's not for everybody. And it helps you address the programming. 


The other one is neuro linguistic programming or NLP. But the problem with NLP is this. If you have programming, just imagine it like a line. What NLP does is that it bends it, but it doesn't actually remove the programming. It just kind of keeps it in place and just changes that a little bit. You’re still caught in programming which means a lack of free will.


Underneath all that is your core essence. 


This is my expertise. Working with me, we become focused on being able to get to your core essence. When you're clear on your core, which is that part of you that's emerging.


That something's off feeling and high stress comes from living in programming, pictures and stuck in your thoughts and feelings.


Being connected to your core essence and coming from your core changes things in a significant and meaningful way.


This is where the reset comes in. 


You might have the certain programming society that you were to grow up, get a job, have 1.5 kids, get married, all that stuff, buy a house with a white picket fence, and that might be your programming. 


That might be someone else's programming, but there are all these ideas, programming and cultural conditioning of how to be in our society. 


And what you need to do is to learn how to live outside of pictures and outside of programming, to be able to live life to the brim and get your time and energy managed well. And to live with authenticity.


Also, so that you can really have the vitality, energy and balance that you want, you need to live outside of that or the core pictures, other pictures and programming will drain you. If it isn’t already.


Think of this, if you have a picture of what success looks like, and it's based on someone in a completely different industry, you're gonna try to match that, you're going to try to create that, but it's not going to work for you because it's coming from a different place than your core essence. 


So this is where dialling into your mission and your vision is important. But underneath that, your core essence is much more important because you're going to be able to sustain everything in your life. 


And you're going to be able to work past all these different pictures. And these thoughts and feelings. The negative thoughts or the inner critic stuff that impacts you, will seamlessly go away.


You need to get connected to your core essence and resetting to here. To be aware of your vibration, opening that up even more and allowing that to emerge into your life.

Yes! If you aren't addressing "things" at the core essence, NOTHING will change.
