How to reprogram yourself

How are we programmed ?
I set myself a test
After walking into the gym, jumping on a treadmill and running for an hour without stopping I went through lots of clock watching and lots of moments that I kept telling myself
" thats enough you can stop now " and " your legs are sore now "
I managed to run 8k that day but a difficult 8k due to listening to a person putting me off.... who was that person ? me.
I recognised the negative pattern of behaviour from myself and went about how to break it.
If I could somehow stop myself listening to myself then I could probably do better.
I decided that the internal auditory that I was feeding myself had to go and that I would fill the space with something more productive.
I set myself a goal of 10k before my swim but this time I would listen to an audio book of a guy I have been reading a lot about.
Dr Bruce Lipton was the choice of audio and for the entire duration of my run I listened to him explaining a great deal about relationships and how to avoid negative energy.
Now what happened next was absolutely amazing.
As I was running i didn't have focus on myself complaining to myself about my legs or the long distance or the time instead my focus was elsewhere.
The next thing i know the treadmill started to slow down and I had completed 10k without really thinking about it. The thing that amazed me was that if this had worked during this 10k run, what else are we not doing because we simply tell ourselves its difficult or too hard or whatever.
We are capable of so much more than we let ourselves believe.
Remove the part of you that holds you back and see where you go.
