How to reprogram your brain for success

One of the most powerful truths I ever learned was how to reprogram my brain for success.
If that sounds impossible, I promise it isn’t.
Maybe you were taught you were born thinking the way you think. That you’re a certain type of person and that’s why you think that way.
That’s why you do or don’t experience success.
It’s just the type of person you are.
That’s a lie.
Our most successful clients and the most successful people in the world know it’s a lie.
They know they wake up every day and choose their mindset.
They’ve taught themselves to see opportunity and possibility everywhere they look.
How though?
They’ve learned the secret of reprogramming a tiny part of their called the Reticular Activating System, or RAS.
The RAS is the part of your brain that highlights the things you see and hear around you. Your brain is constantly filtering out thousands of things. It sends some things to your conscious brain and the rest to your subconscious brain.
It goes like this…Have you ever learned a new word and then you start noticing it in commercials, movies, and everyday conversation? It was like once you learned it, it just started appearing everywhere.
Or have you ever bought a new car and then you start noticing that same model of car everywhere you go? It’s like half the people in your city bought the same car as you.
Well, that word didn’t just start appearing. And hundreds of people didn’t buy the same car as you the same week you bought it.
Your brain became aware of that word or that car, so you start noticing it everywhere you go.
Put simply, what you think about is what you see all around you. And it goes much deeper than learning new words or buying new cars.
It deals with how we feel and think about ourselves. So, if we choose to focus on negative thoughts like…I’m not good enough.
I can never be successful.
That’s only for other people,
People don’t like me, and it will always be that way,
Then your brain will only be aware of the things that support those thoughts.
It will be like there are big neon signs pointing to all the negative things that happen to you.
Your RAS will filter out all the things you need to be successful. You’ll miss the people and opportunities that are already all around you.
That’s why you have to train your RAS to see positivity and opportunity. Make a choice to focus on the positive thoughts that will move you toward your goals.
Don’t say…
I’m not good enough. Say…
I am good, I'm smart, and I’m capable of growing and getting better every single day.
Don’t say…
I can never be successful. That’s only for other people.
Say…
Every day I am figuring out what I need to do to be successful. I was born to win.
Don’t say…
People don’t like me, and it will always be that way.
Say…
I can’t even count the number of people who like me. So, I’m not going to be distracted by the people that don’t.
These simple shifts from negative to positive will change the way you think and see the world.
You’ll stop being distracted by all the negativity around you. You’ll start seeing more opportunities to move forward.
You’ll start using your full potential and you will eventually succeed.
It’s all a choice.
And it’s one you make every day.
Remember, the path to success always starts in your mind.
