One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the power of detachment. Being fully involved but not letting it affect me—that’s real freedom. Another practice I embraced this year is letting go—releasing anything that doesn’t serve my higher good.
We all have the mindset and skills needed to live a fulfilling life, but we often create internal blockages, like thinking we don’t deserve something or it’s not possible for us. So, how do we remove these inner blockages? Here’s a breakdown:
- Acknowledge the Blockages: It starts with recognizing the limiting beliefs we hold. Instead of saying, "I can’t do it," ask yourself, "How can I make it possible?" If you’re not working toward your goal, what's the point of constantly saying you want it?
- Blurry Vision is OK: If you don’t have a clear goal yet, that’s fine! Have a general sense of what you want. If you do have a clear vision, that’s great! Either way, start gathering the ideas and resources to move forward.
- Expand Your Horizons: Read books, talk to people, and have intentional conversations that align with your goal. Frame everything you do around what you want to achieve. This will give you the clarity you need to keep moving forward.
- Low Self-Worth and Limited Beliefs: These are major inner blockages. We often believe life has a predefined path for us—get a degree, get a job, and that’s it. But ask yourself, is this job fulfilling my purpose? Do I even believe in it? Choose what you truly believe in, and stop worrying about what others will think.
- Let Go of What’s Holding You Back: Friends, social circles, and distractions—these can often be a major source of blockages. Your friends may ask you to go out or do things because they want to. But before you say yes, ask yourself if you really want to.
- Societal Expectations: Sometimes, societal or family expectations turn into our own internal pressure. We feel the weight of doing what others expect of us, but at what cost? If it’s not aligned with your growth, you need to let it go.
- Be Serious About Your Growth: If you're truly serious about what you want to achieve, it’s time to leave behind the things that are hampering your growth. Whether it’s friends, distractions, or expectations, you must let go to make space for what truly matters.
- Mind Your Circle: Sometimes, the biggest distractions come from our closest friends or social circles. Learn to say ‘No’ when their plans clash with your personal growth.
Letting go is never easy, but holding onto things that don’t serve your higher good is harder in the long run. It’s time to focus on you and what you want to achieve. Only then can you truly grow and live the life you deserve.
We all have dreams, ambitions, and desires, but how often do we hold ourselves back from achieving them? Many times, the external challenges aren’t the only barriers; our inner blockages play a significant role in stopping us from realizing our true potential.
By freeing yourself from these blockages, you make room for opportunities and growth. Only when you let go of the weights that hold you down can you rise to your full potential.
