How Remotely Inspecting Water Meters Made Life Easier, and Why Every Tenant in the Building Adopted LiLz Gauge.

Using LiLz Gauge to Inspect the Water Meter Remotely

Could you tell us what led to you adopting LiLz Gauge?

Hayashi: Sure, the water meters for the building my coffee shop are located in really awkward spots, which makes inspecting them difficult. That's why I'd started searching for companies that offered smartphone inspection services.

A lot of them required you to place a minimum order of units to even use their service, however LiLz were completely different. They were really accommodating.

The other good thing about LiLz was that once you set up the camera, you don't need to keep a smartphone near the meter anymore; that was a key reason that made me decide to choose LiLz.

I then went to suggest using LiLz Gauge to the landlord and ultimately they ended up installing it for every single tenant in the building.

Kurimoto (LiLz): Ms. Hayashi told us about her landlord's feedback, so we told them and all the other tenants about our service and they decided to sign up for it too.

This is where the meter I need to check is. Normally, I would've wanted to put some records here, but I couldn't because I needed to leave space for the water meter.

How did you inspect it pre-LiLz Gauge?

Hayashi: When inspection day came around I'd check the meter myself, fill in the reading on a piece of paper, and put that in my landlord's mailbox.

The landlord would then summarize the tenants' readings. Then, all the tenants would get billed for however much water they'd used.

Of course, sometimes tenants might forget to check their meters too, which then meant the landlord would have to get in touch to tell them to do so. It was a pretty big burden for everyone involved.

Kurimoto (LiLz): And now the landlord is able to check all the tenants' meters directly thanks to LiLz Gauge. This has made life easier for everyone in the building, landlord and tenants alike.

Introducing LiLz Gauge has eliminated all the building's meter-related troubles.

How have things been since you set up LiLz Gauge?

Hayashi: Well, my meter is right at the back of my shop. I really wanted to store records there, but I couldn't due to the meter.

However, now the landlord is taking care of the meter checks via LiLz Gauge, I've been able to put my records there without worrying about them getting in the way.

Kurimoto (LiLz): I remember when I showed the LiLz Gauge menus to the landlord they were really impressed by how accurate it was, and by how far technology's come.
