It’s the beginning of a new month and all our business numbers, plans and goals start kicking in toward mid-month follow through. Business ownership is a never-ending transition of activity with exciting opportunities, yet how do you keep up with the high pace as a business owner? Discussing concerns with another associate or like-minded owner is an amazing way to keep things fresh regarding marketing strategies. Do you have ideas that are not in your area of expertise that you are putting off regarding marketing or social media?
Many of us face potential areas of burnout but we don’t have to face them alone. When a project needs to be done, if you’re not the one eager to make it happen, do you have someone in your staff or a Strategic Marketing Partner you can call upon to get it accomplished? Owners are in desperate need of experts to contact whenever they need questions answered or to find new ways of getting things done effectively.
Here are some ideas to remain diligent and prevent marketing burnout:
* Make a short list of items that you need assistance to accomplish and share it with another associate or staff member. Put your heads together to talk about a solution; it may require a small investment in technology or perhaps an outside expert can assist.
* Ask someone on your staff to refresh your seasonal marketing campaign utilizing their knowledge of your company mission. They may enjoy the opportunity and you can team up to accomplish the tasks that need to be done.
* Take a day out of the office with key personnel to brainstorm a new marketing idea or strategic campaign. Enjoy the atmosphere of a restaurant or find a coffee house with a conference room if you can’t swing for a professional setting.
Marketing, social media and technology are added responsibilities that constantly change. It’s hard to keep up with the demands for education in those areas. Have you discovered a resource of professionals you can ask to assist you? As a Marketing Guide, I consider it an asset to tap into such marketing experts within our community.
Here are 5 marketing details you can delegate to a Strategic Marketing Partner:
1) Target Market – knowing the focus of your business and what to do to reach the proper people group is imperative; did you invest time and ask for professional advice in this stage of your business plan?
2) Branding – companies are utilizing multiple resources to display corporate images; have you developed a new logo, refreshed the colors or changed your layout with new content for your website?
3) Description of Services – a great brochure is handy in print and very valuable when it is developed into pages on a website; have you had someone design those for you?
4) Advertising – social media has changed the marketplace by creating more traffic through Google resources, online maps and Facebook ads; do you have someone updating that for your business?
5) Delegation – successful strategies must include staff or other professionals to advance and inspire company growth; do you have quality people in place to take care of the details outside your expertise so you can focus on what you enjoy doing in the business?
Remaining diligent is critical when you are a business owner, but potential burnout is a reality as well. Those who figure out how to prevent that tragedy are more likely to succeed in long term enjoyment of what they chose to do for a career. Our community benefits from great leaders in business as they continue making good decisions and developing employment opportunities for others. When we unite and partner with others to accomplish our goals in business, it becomes more fun and directly advantageous to everyone who needs our services. Have you encouraged someone lately in your circle of influence by seeking their assistance or called on an expert to help you with a specific challenge? Why not begin to delegate more of what you can and enjoy the journey with others to make marketing more fun!
