How about a reliable rating system for companies’ recruiting process?
“Recruiters should be taken accountable for their behavior with candidates”
It all started with a simple observation, where have gone the human values or professionalism when it comes to recruitment?
After a job application, some companies will send you the usual automated reply, some will ignore you and if you are lucky some might take a moment to give you a personalized response.
I’m not trying to condemn anyone here but to start a cogitation on the subject.
Here are some examples of indicators that might be used to rate recruiting process:
- Time to reply
- Process overall time
- Type of answer (automated / personalized)
- Selection criteria (justification)
- Number of contacts
- Integration
- Follow up
All of those data could be gathered from candidates, job boards or companies willing to be transparent.
Some of the advantages of this rating system may be as follows:
+ Candidates: knowing which companies are in line with their human values / have a peek at the recruiting process.
+ Companies and recruiting firms: KPIs for efficiency enhancement.
+ Job boards: Valuable information for job seekers.
+ Governments: Knowing if investments toward employment are well used by companies.
To go further we could ask ourselves : Why losing our human values is still considered to be an efficient way to make business?
