How to Reimagine Your Career.

How to Reimagine Your Career.

Could you reimagine your career? A million per cent you could.

I'm doing it as are most of the people I'm working with.

"But I just couldn't Justin. That's for everyone else. I've had a few thoughts over the years, and I remember what I use to love to do, buts it's impossible. The wife, the mortgage, the kids" - I hear this all the time.

But it is possible. It's all possible..

Remember my favourite quote I shared recently:

“Today is the youngest you will ever be and the most experienced you've ever been. It's the perfect time to start something you've always wanted to do" - Daniel Priestley

Reimagining a career can mean different things to all of us. It doesn't mean 'jumping off a cliff' and necessarily starting all over again putting yourself at financial risk.

Going part-time, changing industries, stepping away from the corporate environment, joining a different size company, and trying a different role are all common examples people take. Other examples include entrepreneurialism, side hustles, following your passion or growing and monetising your hobbies.

The recent Microsoft study I've mentioned before of 30,000 people revealed that 46% of workers are considering a major career pivot or transition. For many, this search goes beyond just a change of role and into the realm of personal renewal or reinvention.?

Also, people's values are changing as quickly as the world is changing.

Remember when I shared the post-pandemic statistics from the U.S.? The Great Resignation saw?47.8 million US workers quit their jobs?in 2021 alone – many of them without other positions lined up.

Why?

People's values are changing and the companies they work for are not.

That's it.. In most cases, corporate values are written on the wall but not ingrained in what people really feel.

People's values are more aligned towards, positive well-being, mental wellness, growth, love, Intimacy, family, relationships, health, fitness, passion, adventure, fun etc. The list is getting longer.

Because of this people start to feel a 'pull' a 'tug' towards something more. It's a feeling that lingers and lingers.

In most cases, people start to feel they have something missing in their life because of this. A sense of purpose perhaps??

Remember your core values are the things in life that are the most important to you. Your North Star.

The principles or beliefs that you attach most meaning to.

?This is where I can add 'real value' to your life.
