How to Reduce Human Risk

How to Reduce Human Risk

Despite 80% of cybersecurity and IT leaders having confidence their organization won’t fall for a phishing attack, 64% of those leaders have clicked on a phishing email themselves.?

That divide between perception and action is evident across Arctic Wolf’s newest report, “The Human Risk Behavior Snapshot.”?

  • 68% of IT leaders and 64% of end users admitted to reusing passwords?

  • 93% of IT leaders enforce multi-factor authentication, but only 59% enforce to all users?

  • 36% of IT leaders have intentionally disabled security measures on their own devices?

While these statistics show there is work to be done, the solution does not rely on adding more and more tools to your tech stack or punishing employees who fail a phishing test. Organizations should focus on building a culture of security and communication that breeds positive security outcomes. Employees need to feel comfortable reporting incidents, IT leaders need to practice what they preach, and organizations need to implement a security awareness training program that breeds familiarity and encourages a culture of security.?

回复

Human risk is one of the most critical yet often underestimated aspects of cybersecurity. As Arctic Wolf's data highlights, building a culture of security awareness is far more effective than relying solely on tools or punitive measures. Organizations thrive when employees feel empowered to report incidents without fear and when IT leaders lead by example. Combining education, communication, and technology is key to mitigating risks and fostering long-term resilience. #CybersecurityAwareness #HumanRiskManagement #BusinessSolutions
