WHAT IS AUTOMATION ?
In simple terms, Automation is giving our work/tasks to the system so that it can reduce the human efforts and gives out the better result.
WHY AUTOMATION ?
As you know Manual work leads to Human Error and also it is slow. And the Industry needs the process which can Release the product as fast as possible without error.
That is why Industry is moving towards automation.
WHAT IS JENKINS ?
Jenkins is an open source automation tool/server which provides a facility to achieve CI/CD in automated fashion.
It is entirely written in Java.
Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) are integral parts of DevOps, as they are used for integrating multiple things and technologies..
Why RED HAT is using JENKINS ?
Red Hat is the largest open source company in the world. We know the need of automation and Trust me, Jenkins is one of the very powerful open source tool for automation in DevOps for CI/CD. That is why it is attracting a lot of market.
One who is familiar with Jenkins, knows it consists of a lot of plugins for integration various technologies. And Red Hat being the market leader has various products like Ansible, OpenShift etc.
So now, I am telling you to think the connectivity between three things: Jenkins, Red Hat products and Plugins.
Can you connect ?
Yes, you are right! Red Hat for smoothing its automation process uses Jenkins and the more interesting thing is that some of these plugins are actively maintained by Red Hat, and some maintained by others in the Jenkins community.
They provide a clean integration between Jenkins and Red Hat products and projects that are typically used in the context of DevOps.
So that is it from my side. Hope you like the article.
