How to Recognize What is Toxic in Your Life and Stop Allowing It?

How often do you hear people blaming others for saying things that makes them feel bad or react in a negative manner? It’s quite common, isn’t it??

But have you ever wondered how do they (the others) know exactly how and what you will react to?

The fact is, they only know it after they see you react.

People give others a lot of credit of having the knowledge of what will trigger them to react or feel bad about something.

No matter what you think or believe, “your” reactions are no one else’s choice.

It’s a choice only you can make.

You absolutely cannot control what people say, how they say it and when they say it.

However, “you” can certainly become aware of “how” you react when people speak.

If you have been complaining about your circumstances and blaming others for your failures, your mistakes and the negativity in your life, you are only affirming that “they” have the power to control how you feel. Something which is completely a personal choice.

Go ahead and ask yourself this.?

Would you like anyone to have that kind of control over you?

If the answer is “No”, follow the steps below and learn how you can control and choose “how you feel”.

Step 1.

Become conscious of what are you saying and thinking.

??Stop talking about what others make you feel.

??Focus on what you would like to feel.?

Your brain is designed to show you more of what you focus on. It’s a natural phenomenon and happens with absolutely no input from you.

Now, when you are focussing on what you want to feel

???? Ask yourself when was the last time you felt like that?

??Think more about that time. Remember every details of that time. Visualise it as if it were happening right now.

Take a pen and a sheet and write the answers to the following questions (No typing on phones, ipads, laptops, desktops, typewriters).?

?? What were you feeling?

?? Were you smiling?

?? Were you confident?

?? Did you feel strong?

?? What actions were you taking?

?? What thoughts were you thinking?

?? What words were you saying to yourself?

Once you have answered the above questions, you are now more in control of your thoughts and your feelings.

Now go ahead and using the power of your mind to visualise, do the following:

?????Start thinking in the same patterns of those thoughts about your present moment.?

?????Feel the strength within you. If you had it then. You will have it even today.

?????Feel your confidence rising.?

?????Start writing the actions that you are going to take. (Only the actions you will start and not what you will stop).

Become aware of the thoughts that make you feel weak and powerless. Remember, those thoughts are inside “your” head. You are the one who is putting them there by thinking about them.?

No one can control that but you!!?

And that is the only fact??????
