A satisfying sex life. The relationships with your children. The promotion at work (that you totally deserve), what do they all have in common?
Those things and so much more all have your ability to communicate effectively, in common.
Ever have a business deal go south?
How about a misunderstanding in traffic?
If you answered yes, then like it or not, your ability to get your point across in the correct way for the situation, played a part.
I have personally been followed into a parking lot and confronted by an angry fellow motorist (for something I didn't even realize I had done), only to watch them just sort of wilt as I made non-confrontational eye contact and apologized for what I had done.
After giving a very sincere "I'm really sorry, I didn't even realize I did that" and extending my hand for a handshake (also a form of communication), we both discovered that the angry motorist was going into the same store I was.
It was clear he was embarrassed, and he even let me go in front of him in the checkout line, and HE COVERED THE .27 CENTS I was short!
The same guy who was prepared to (try to) punch my lights out, covered the part of my tab that I didn't have on me!
This is 100% true.
All because I was sincere, and I knew the right way to communicate with him.
But its so much more than that.
Knowing how to really communicate with others is like knowing the secret password to make people feel heard, valued, appreciated and understood.
I challenge you to really think about that for a moment. When was the last time someone made you know-not think or suspect, but KNOW that you were important to them?
That your opinion mattered?
If you can even recall the last time that happened to you, how did you feel?
How did you feel about that person?
I want to show you how to do this for yourself.
Who wants to join me on a FREE training Tuesday, Oct. 11, where I will dive into how you can harness these skills for yourself?
