How to realize a safe business relationship?

This week, one of my customer in Bangladesh wanted to confirm a business order for methylene chloride with drum packing, he told me,Jason, could you give me a discount for our price, and as for the payment term, you know, LC at sight is the only choice, will you help me to solve this problem?

As a chemical raw materials distributor in China, sometimes, our price is not the cheapest in the market, while I always to make it up by the sincere service, we stick to our core value, once order confirmed, we will never back out the sales contract and try our best to deliver it on time. Although this customer have rare conversation since last year, I still want to try my best to help him. Under hard efforts with factory and our management, I finally make it about this discount, but another problem arise again when related to the bank of opening LC...He just provided me a bank that blacklisted in China already due to bad records, and he told me now due to the USD crisis, it can not be solved. So, finally, we give up this order as we only have slight profit but once we confirmed, high risk of it!

I am not here to blame him while in my opinion, mutual trust and safety shall be in advance for every single order. If the business is not safe at the beginning, we better not start it. So we will stick to the our principle, we only do business under our control, to ensure to quality, delivery time. Only by this way, we will be strong and strong.
